# Jesus I Surrender
Friday
Today was not too nice a day. I enjoyed myself, but htere are certain things i found out abt myself.
Lessons were alright, although i still must apologize to all my classes for not finishing on time.. And 06, txs for the spamming arh..
Gave out lots of sweets over the past few days. I think Louisa is gonna have to lower her sugar intake soon if things keep up. Haha. Hope u guys enjoyed version 0.5 of the current affairs quiz. Give me some feedback ya? Then after that, it was lunch
Tried out the unpopular Malay foodstall, and surprisingly, the food is actually jz as good. Really no idea why its not as popular... Sure gonna have to tutup kedai (close shop) soon. So sad. After lunch, got the sad news of staffroom table shift of Jocelyn. Just wanna say i think its really stupid and ridiculous. I know i dun have the full picture, abd im biased in my opinion, but let JoJo stay... pls... Why bother pleading.. heartless ppl..
Watched the ending of FMA in the morning too. Sad story too.. Sorry haven found Cepeta yet Wei Ren. Printed Yumei's PI for her too after some minor editing work. Gave it to her in the hall b placing it on a table. Yumei, u actually looked quite happy playing volleyball! Must really be ur passion (=
Rotted in the staffroom reading GP bulletin. Also waited for Siok to come back from her 1.20 but she never did and we were supposed to start the screening of The Rabbit Proof Fence and The Crash. Neha and I told Ms Kwan that Siok must have been "kid"napped by her students, and she was like.. "oh.. ok..". We were like, now we know Ms Kwa wouldn't care less if we died. Hahah, at least this was funny and not sad.
Then i started off The Crash for 4 TA3 students. Sad. But oh well, at least there were no major problems. Except me NOT catching the whole story of The Crash. When i went in to check on the TA3, all i heard within 5 minutes were more swear words than on Zsa's blog for the past month! And also there was a sex scene where the woman's was showing... Yes, the movie was M18, but still... But I clarified that it actually has an impactful story.
Back to the real movie for JC1s, Hotel Rwanda. A really good movie abt the heroic efforts of Paul Resjhfadacir (dunno how to spell or even vaguely pronounce his last name, but truly awesome guy!!!) Sad story on genocide of the Tutsi tribe in Rwanda. Dianthaaaaa didn't like it very much either. Esp the "bumpy" truck ride from getting the supplies (not surprise hor MY)
Then went off to close the Geog room which is VERY dusty. It felt like the beach of East Coast Park when u walk in the room lar. Ok i know im exaggerating, but u get the idea ryte? Shuming or Zsa maybe could tell me more abt the geog room?
Then went to scroom, talked to Evelyn, had dinner opposite with cass while Aaron and Evelyn refused to share a table! Hmmph!
Then went for music prac. Helped move e stuff into place. Couldn't get the accoustic to work but Addy with the magic fingers with the sound board managed to get it working somehow. I tried 4 different ports and 2 cables and produced no signal at all lar...
I finally played bass today. It was Jesus I surrender. Im almost deaf on my right ear, but thats the price bassist pay i guess. Hehe. It was nice playing bass one again. And tmr im on! Yay!!!!! Gtg sleep now!Labels: bass, FMA, geography room, hotel rwanda, JoJo, Lousia, ms kwan, neha, PI, sad, Shuming, Siok, sweets, the crash, the rabbit proof fence, Yumei, Zsa^2

# The Surprise
Monday
The start of the week. Aa start with hope after being recharged from the weekend. Yay. I now, i need that recharging more than ever too cuz monday is my 5 period day. And it did start off quite well. Did the crossword with 03 and 06 and the answers with 21. And then taught Zsa^2 maths-trigo. Then it was off to Toa Payoh for tuition after a quick dinner and drink. Met Yumei, Kari and Jeryl, Jaren at the Library too. Made my spin-off highscore there and till now, nobody has beaten it. Its 20k, around there. Haha
Tuition was resumed after a long long break and it was chem. Finally money started flowing in once again and it was a rather short feeling trip back and on to the next day. The Surprise!
Tuesday
Day started off normally, except the photo-copier decided to spoil so i had to really rush my printing stuff. Did my AQ with 03, who .. erm.. were rather silent
Firstly, it was a little shocking to see ALL and i mean ALL of them outside the classroom unchanged from PE. So all the girls and some of they guys had to go down and change. Not wanting to waste any more time, i handed them the article to read on the way to the toilet. From this i learnt that... don't bother. Haha.
So the class went on... after losing most of it to the toilet. And eventually i ran out of time and dun think they really liked the assignment at the end. Haha. But im sorry, u guys need to learn to how to write. And yes Zsa, i so agree with u that style cannot be taught, it can only be learnt.
And at 10.00am, it was the end of my lessons! Haha. Nice timetable ain't it? But that's not the nicest part yet, cuz ahead was a SUPPLIES from my cell!! Walking back to the staffroom, i saw Matthew standing outside the staffroom, soon it was FX, James and MeiYian all ard! Haha, lemme explain the reason why i didn't have a shocked look, cuz firstly, i was more confused. Lol!
Was wondering why Matthew was here, then thinking, this isn't church, why got FX and James and all. Then after abt 5 to 10 seconds, it clicked that this was a SUPPLIES! Haha, quite slow eh, and by that time, the shocked look already pass its expiry date. So we headed down to the canteen for food. This cell pigs out quite a lot! So if i put on weight, u guys know where it came from la! Everyone bought western food except MeiYian, who packed it later anyway. Talked a lot and even planned ... does Gabriel read my blog? Better not take that chance
Then they left and i went on to have a second lunch and then it was ... hmm.. i dun quite remember. This week seems to be flying by me. But things that i found particularly meaningful are
-my wonderful cell SUPPLIES, the card, gifts and encouragement given
-being able to teach ppl maths (cuz i feel GP is hard to teach, sorry my students, im still trying hard)
-being encouraged by ppl and also being able to encourage others
Ok, shall fast forward the rest of Tuesday and move along cuz i really did loads of nothing.
Wednesday
Can't recall what i did in the morning other than watch FMA. Did a lesson with 06 and they were also quite tired apparently from PE so didn't really get the class going. Tried to improve today with 21. Brought up stuff relevant to them and got them talking a bit more, but that's Thursday *chases the intruding Thursday blog words away*
Then after that, rushed down for lunch cuz Calvin didn't get us lunch cuz the Jap stall opposite school was closed. So we went down. Oh. We means Jojo, Eugene and I. They both packed ther food but i forgot to pack so i missed the remaining of FMA while they ate and watched. Oh well, i went to get a drink as well and met some of the o6-ers at the drinks stall. Then headed back an anime-ed a little more.
It was soon staff conference and it was utterly pointless for RTs. Shall speed up my blogging cuz i have LOTS of gp essays to read for the upcoming Words Words Words. After staff conference I stayed a while with Zhi Yuan and Zsa^2 who are BOTH in drama. And CONGRATS to ZY on passing her audition to get in. Then, hmm, can't remember again, haha. I think i went back to the staff room, or didn't i... hmm.. oh well, that was pretty much wednesday. Im sure i went scroom and ate dinner with Di Hui and Natha.
Then chatted A LOT. Aaron was the main one and yeah, it continued today (Thursday) Nice chatting with cass too (=
Thursday
Woke up late. Oh well. Prepared for lessons and soon it was lesson with 21. It was a nice time. Took my time teaching the AQ so it wasn't too rushed. But still i spoke too fast. Sorry 21. Esp those who are new and can't follow. Tried to help them by asking them if they could follow and taught a few personally, but i guess its still a long way eh...
The lesson was also rather dead but i tried this time to liven things up by talking abt their stuff and made a wrong move with table tennis. Sorry YingEN. But i think it prevented some ppl *winks at J* from falling asleep. The nicest part was after the lesson. Stayed back a while while some of the 21-ers were finishing up the AQ. Talked a bit more to Chun Hai, Yee Wen, Yu Ting, Hong Yu and Qiu Hui. This really helped cuz now i can recall their names better and found out interesting stuff like Yee Wen's citizenship. Shall not post it here in case she gets.. eerr. nvm.
I was more worried that they had no food to finish than the whether they could complete the AQ. So after they finally left... phew... i went to eat with them. Sat with Shuming, Xian Hui, Kathleen and Hui Shian. Kathleen apparently gets high from eating and calls people weird stuff. Ask her abt the Zhu and Jenny! Then went back to the staffroom. Slept.
Woke up for 03 lesson and did the Epsilon version of the Current Affairs Quiz. No idea what Carian (yes, my Malaysian friends, her name is carian) and XueWen were depressed abt cuz they seemed more high than anything else. Angelina was rather blur, but i doubt shes a Diantha yet. But i was more dissappointed that they were late. Oh well, apparently everyone is.
But the lesson was not too bad, it was after it tht was bad cuz i was bothering Raf's class. Sorry Raf. And then went to scroom. Also took a look (that sounds funny) at the new biodata form. It's now 10 questions. No spoilers.
Then went to scroom. Only thing i wanna say, what are your true motives.Labels: Chun Hai, Di Hui, FMA, FX, Hong Yu, Hui Shian, James, Julie, Kathleen, Matthew, Mei Yian, o6, Qiu Hui, Shuming, Xian Hui, Yee Wen, Yu Ting, Zhi Yuan, Zsa^2

# The Freedom We Know
Weekends are like battery chargers. They charge batteries! Duh... haha. Yeah, and of course the batteries im referring to are our lives. Yup, but more accurately, its not really weekends but church (cuz YA and Sunday service are obviously on weekends) that recharges my life! Its jz so great to have this "mini-revival" in my soul everytime i step into YA and Sunday is jz like the icing on the cake! So here we go
Saturday
Woke up on time and got ready for tuition. By almost 9am, i was ready to leave the house when Vincent smsed me that he had competition. I was, like, all the best for ur competition. I surprised myself that I wasn't pissed that i woke up early for nothing and jz wanted him to do his best for his comp. Yup. That was significant yet i didn't know it till much later in the day.
Basically used the morning to blog and tried to do QT. Jz read the book and didn't really work out. The rest of the time was jz wasted... Walked towards the 14 bus stop to go to Beer Garden for lunch. Then as I reached Upper East Coast Road i realised i am now staying nearer to TJ and opposite TJ is so much nearer... So I walked back the other way. Haha, so stupid of me...
Had Jap food for lunch and cincau/soya beans. Came back and wasted my afternoon until i had to do laundry. By hand! I washed like 8 t-shirts and many other articles of clothing by hand since the washing machine is spoilt... And it took me close to 2 hours to do it all. Was tired but realised it was time for YA already so took a quick shower and headed to church for the best part of any week! YA Service!!
Reached church roughly about 6.15 and was in time for pre-service prayer although i thought i was late cuz the musicians were alredy praying. But there was a whole bunch of other ppl there waiting so i was in time. The board was ready with the prayer items and today was a significant day as many new ppl were coming. Nelsie was one of the 10 targets for YA who was coming!
Joel lead pre-service prayer for the first time, sort of like how i did it 3 weeks ago. And it was a really good sharing on perseverance. Shared from the story of Pentecost where only 120 received the baptism of the Holy Spirit in the upper room when there were originally 500. So we in the "engine room" were like the 120 who have stayed on and we prayed till roughly 7. We also had some sharing by Maddy and we were all ready to get the newcomers feel welcomed.
YM service stretched so we entered first and soon we were setting up the place. Then i met Dickson after a "detour" by Chellie. Haha. Significant nonetheless. Dickson's from MJ. JC with best uniform! And he's from Triton too! So Yi Ning, do u know him? I asked and he doens't know u or the rest from o6 that went there. Oh well, he plans to join canoeing. There were two other girls from MJ but i didn't catch their names.
Other than the fact tehre were many new ppl, James came for the first time (in a long time i think) for YA! And Jeremy came too! Yay. So my cell had a grand total of... 4 people. Sighs. But nevermind, we'll keep on trying to get the rest in. No idea why BS wasn't ard, MY was not well, Su-E and Grace the usual MIA, Matthew, coming soon! Really! and Gabriel at Batam.. looking for a wife according to Bertrand. But actually he's on mission trip there. Yupz.
Service was good with Mich worship leading and the songs were Evermore, Jesus I Surrender and To The Ends of the Earth. Yup. And this was really impactful cuz i felt God speaking to me abt what happened at the start of the day. When Vincent sms-ed me that he coulnd't make it for tuition, it taught me how the Father Heart of God is like.
God is so overflowing with love and when we do something wrong and come back to Him, He so readily forgives us. Loves covers such a multitude of sin that its jz so wrong for us not to come back to Him who is so ready and waiting with open arms to accept us. Especially meaingful to me on how God doesn't "take time to get over our sins" but forgives AND forgets the moment we ask in repentance!! =D!!
And then it was offering and YA fund collection. And then it was sharing by Livia, Aiken and Isaac on the impact that Ignite and Synerg!z conferences had on their lives. And the ever-awesome Pastor Mark shared a concluding msg from abt 15 sermons throughout the whole two day conferences.
Ones that really impacted me were from Ps Matthew Barnett who has this really awesomely amazing Dream Center in LA and hence my nickname - Catching Dreams (check out their purpose and history). Seriously, what are we living for every single day. Do we have a bigger purpose than jz finishing school or eating enough to survive? Do we just, honestly, go through the motions of school and work and waiting for uni or NS. Or are we a people of purpose and a destiny. Such that, in retrospect, 2007 would have been a fulfilling year, one full of growth and dreams fulfilled. For the larger dreams, first steps taken?
And also from Ps Glen, Don't let the frogs stay for one more night. Like.... what??? Okay okay, its abt the ten plagues in Egypt when Pharaoh didn't wanna let the Israelites go, God sent a plague of frogs to punish the Egyptians. And when Moses spoke to Pharaoh to negotiate, Pharaoh agreed to let the Israelites go. So Moses gave Pharaoh the honor of choosing when the frogs were to be removed and Pharaoh answered... Tomorrow
I mean, how stupid is he?? Imagine ur room right now crawling with cockroaches and the exterminator is at your door and he asks you when u want to get rid of the pests and u think about it for a while.. and you tell him, come back tomorrow morning and you land back on ur bed with cockroaches crawling all over you.
Seems ridiculous that anyone would answer tomorrow right? But how often do we do the exact same thing to God who wants to remove all the stains, dirt and sin in our lives. How often we keep bad habits for one more night. This was so significant for me and it is decided that 24th March will be a turning point in my life! I believe in the altar call and the work has been done!
Yup, really really feel refreshed after the service! Time to dream big once again! Im free to accomplish what God has in store for me! And to make things even better, dinner for that night was on the house! Wow.. how rare is that! Free Pizza and Drinks! Yay! So i ate quite a lot and still there were 2 leftover pizzas. No idea what happened to it. Talked a lot and 12-ed back with Winnie.
MSN-ed as well with a few ppl. BS was online too. Had a nice chat with cass too (= then slept
Sunday
Did NOT wake up on time. Crap. Actually i did, jz that my alarm didn't ring after i snoozed it. No excuse, i was late for church. I got out of bed at 10.45 and reached church by 11.00
I ran more than half the way there... From Sennett to Emmanuel within 15 minutes of waking up. Was sweating quite a bit and so sad that i reached at the end of the praise and worship which must have been awesome.
Briefly sat at the empty row behind FX and then moved to my cell when the announcements were starting. And today it was 4 baby dedications as well. Too bad they were all girls, even the one in blue, and so BS was wrong. Haha. Mathematical Induction failed. Hehe
Ps Ang gave a simple yet strong message on The Cost of Being a Disciple. Things i really learnt from this
-we are not Christians because of our religion, but by our actions, as seen by outsiders. Are you a Christ-ian?
-it really costs something. not $ but our entire life. our priorities. is family more important than Him? is studies? is that special someone?
-it is a call to being doers of the word, WITH A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP with Him. even if we cast out demons in His name and not have a walk with him, we will not get into heaven.
But the underlying truth is still simple and encouraging. God is ever willing to empower you to achieve your full potential in him. He has the plan and purpose for our life, so committing it to Him, although it may seem to cost us a lot, actually gains is so much more. A really nice quote to sum it up
"He is not unwise who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose"
Think about it. Is IT really worth hanging on to or can God give u something so much better?
Then after the service, had an altar call and i was brought back to think how i haven't been significant at all for Him so far. And its time to change. And that I have really awesome people in church who care so much for me. Who really bother to try and find out how im relaly feeling on the inside and how my life is coming along. Had a good cell time with stand-in cell leader Sarah. Then had great prayer for our cell as well as Matthew who is gonna tell Dr Lee that he won't be a flutist for TPJCSB.
Then we walked to opposite TJ for lunch cuz we missed the bus and joined the newcomers although we were really late. Wwalked here and there quite a lot before settling on where to buy our "groceries" (read:chocolates and snacks) Txs to FX for the Milo Bar and MY for the Doaraemon magnet from 7E! One of it is now on Roland's car! Hehe!
Then had a Bible "picnic" in the haven with our snacks. Matthew, FX and MY with me sat in there and discussed the sermon of the day and the costs that we all pay as well as catch up on each other. In no time it was time to leave and FX took the bus with MY whil Matthew and I walked back. Met Alvin and Mich and talked a lot more. Really encouraging people who care so much! This is where Roalnd's car had the newest addition. Haha!
Then bought my dinner and came back to blog! Hehe. Its really good to live life with You God! The inner peace is just priceless (=Labels: Alvin, bible picnic, BS, cass, dream center, frogs, FX, Matthew, Mich, MY, newcomers, pizza, ps glen, ps matthew, sarah

# Temasek Idol
Thursday, part II
Yup, after blogging, I did go for class and met 03/07. Funny thing was Mr Tong was in the classroom before that. memories of being a GP rep. Haha. Aand the outdated diskette. Thumbdrives are the way to go man (= So I entered the classroom and there were jz two people. Out of thirteen, i thought that wasn't too bad excpet that eventually the class started like 15 minutes late. Xuewen and Selina were hopelessly lost. Oh well, others were lost too.
But lesson was great and fun. And best part is.... I WON the Current Affairs Quiz. Haha. With a close margin of 5 to 4, but the guys and girls tied each other. So Im the big winner. Haha. Yeah, whatever ryte? Was nice getting to know the class. Will have to read more of the papers though, bet Im gonna forget 90% of their names when i enter on monday.
Then it was off to the scroom to see what was going on. It was manual labour once again with the packing of TI Goodie bags. Steffi Bond and her agency have been redeployed from top secret agents, to Kacang Putih sellers. Haha!
Ok I have a major GROUSE *winks to 21* here. Why do Singaporeans call tid bits "KacHang PutEh"??? Well, it's pretty obvious ain't it? Firstly they don't know that kacang (which is THE correct spelling btw) means nuts, and not random stuff u get from a snack shop. And putih means white. So kacang putih refers to a PARTICULAR type of nut which is white after roasted. Aarrrgghhh!! The uneducatedness of Singaporeans continues to amaze me. But then again, if everyone's wrong, it doesn't matter does it?
Yup, then left for tuition in church with Nelson and AMaths Differentiation. Met Bertrand first though who was doing Sem 2 Matrices of Engineering. Haha, feel so dumb that i forgot how to find determinant liao. So sad. Oh well, eventually Nelson came and we started and eventually finished. Like.. duh. Haha. That wrapped up church and it was back to TJ
The sc were almost done and then packed up and went for dinner. Then walked home with some (which means more than 1) councillors. Surfed a bit online, got frustrated cuz my net here is so slow. Couldn't watch the stupid japanese dance video on youtube and Shing Yee is becoming more evil! *crashes stone on head* Apparently Joanne is too... Hmmm... scary people hiding in innocent looking faces =S
Friday
This was DDAY. Both for me and my beloved junior Ying Xiu. It was FireFly interview for me and final project, Temasek Idol for YX. Day started off bad.
Had to rush my certs and all, and eventually forgot one cert. Ah, nvm that, got most of it in order and left it at the GO for certifying and went for lessons, saying i would ocllect it at 9.30. But little did i know 9.30 was lesson time. Darn.
Had the crossword with 21. They seemed to be rather stuck at first with most guessing brands as 1 across but its NOT the correct answer *hints to next classes* But slowly they did get better. Some of them even got the lame ones like "she keeps quiet" *pokes shuming* haha. The clues didn't really help I guess, i dunno, comment anyone?
Then it was my first time with the new 06. I forgot where the lesson was supposed to be so I walked back to the staffroom, only to find out it was in the same class... So lame... So i walked back with my laptop and all and set it all up again. 06 was even later... Baa... lessons cant end on time.. never...
Did the same thing although it was hard to remember whos who still. Except a few who stood out but I think I'd forget all other than the GP rep Abishik. But it was fun and guess what, I did the current affairs quiz again. Nosurprise ryte.. Haha, the Team White lost to Team Green and it was good fun, i think. But they were also randomly shooting. People, please please start reading the papers!!
Okay, play time was over. Haha, play time, why did i use that phrase anyway? Lolz.. And it was soon rushing off to EDB. Took my certs from the GO and Mdm Aini was so nice. She saw I was rushing and sweating so she offered some perfume. MEN's perfume if you're wondering! -.-''
I knid of liked the smell too! Haha. A cab took almost forever to come but i still made it ot EDB before the 15 minute buffer time they asked for. Took the lift up to the 28 floor and my ears were already feeling the pressure. Met some other ppl who were there as well. Majority from RJ. Majority for GEP. Me? Only foreigner... Sighs. But it was cool. Jeline i think from RJ was the quite friendly bimbo. Yup, i think she knows shes quite bimbotic. Quote of the day was from her friend. "Jeline, stop being bimbotic, this is an interview for INTELLECTUAL people" Haha! We were all laughing in the quiet and pristine lobby of EDB.
EDB ppl were so not punctual lar! Wwhen it was 11.40, I found out that the 11.15 group hadn't even gone in yet (they do in 30 minute blocks). Then we knew we were in for a long wait. Initially the silence was so thick we were like in different rooms already. But after a while, we loosened up and started talking. Quite interesting ppl. Jeline guessed Mark's name cuz he "looked like a Mark" Yeah ryte, pure luck i think. They were from the same primary school and knew each other and even their friends. Mark-HC, Jeline-RJ, Me-only TJ.
There was this other girl who came later and she has a younger sister in TA1. If anyone knows who she is, gimme a tag? This girl was from RJ. And it was so funny cuz Jeline asked if she was from HC when they both were from RJ. We obviously bot bored and started making up lame stories like how the waiting time was actually the interview and there were hidden cameras to see what we were doing or the windows were actually one of those one-way screens and they were actually watching us. Mark even waved to the window. Haha.
Then came the stupid part. Mark asked us if we wanted to try the EDB Mint that they had. He said he tried it and it tasted like Mentos. But I said, it's our turn any moment and what if we get called in with the mint in our mouths. Jeline even crunched the Strepsils in her mouth before she entered the Lobby on 28 lar... So he said jz swallow lar. Sounds logical ryte?
NOT!!!! I stupidly took the mint and, yes it did taste like mentos. But after 30 seconds (I had already waited 30 minutes) of taking the mint, they called my name!! I was like.. crapz..
So I did swallow the mentos and my throat was burning for the whole interview lar... So stupid.
The interview was normal. The usual why did u choose FireFly and tell me abt some problems you encountered and how u handled them. So i spammed my council stories like mad.
Then came the part where we were joking about outside. The Singapore 6.5 million target. Mdm Lisa (my interviewer) asked what do i think the potential problems are when SG hits 6.5 million and i rambled on abt job competition and congestion and bla bla bla.. I was apparently (or obviously even) off topic cuz she had to ask again. "What are the MAJOR problems u would see, from EDB's economic perspective". So i restructured my answer and yeah, went on to more friendly questions after that. She even said i had better be good at the current affairs cuz I was a GP tutor. Darns. So biased lar!
And while the Mint was still burning, the interview came to the last parts abt do you have any questions abt the scholarship. Did the usual where would i work kind of thing, asked abt the shuffling, if they provided training and all. Yeah, and it ended quite nicely. Even the fact that i did go for EDB's Next Big Thing last time helped as she recalled some TJCians. Told her abt Zhongshan and Sean who were there as well. Yup
After I came out, Mark came out as well. The blur pork brought along only ORIGINAL copies of his certs lar... So he had to zap them at EDB. But then again it was quite wise cuz he could zap it for free there. And the zap machine at EDB so chim one. Touch screen, green light, auto detect paper size... Jeline and I had more fun playing ard with it than anything. Was quite funny with how one cert came out with the top part missing. My fault. Haha!
Then we waited with Jeline who was waiting for her friend. Talked more and then we made our way down after girl-from-RJ-with-sister-in-TA1 came out and then we parted, hoping we would meet again.
Then MRT-ed back to Bedok and met Grace. W/Talked back to TJ with her and met Julie and Zhiyuan on the way. They were meeting Yi Ning and hadn't eaten so I walked backed to the interchange and ate with them. Saw Yi Ning at the double pedestrian crossing and she didn't dissapoint, being slow as always =p But i think she realised we were laughing at how slow she was walking and started running. haha
She was in the nicest uniform in SG, the Meridian uniform. Jx realised i dunno if its spelled meridien or meridian. Oh well. Its the nicest blue ard! Yup yup. So we talked a lot and decided on BK cuz Macs was full. Yi Ning led the way and we did find it. Ordered and ate my first BK meal in a long time and soon it was time for Julie's PDP so we had to walk back
Things I found out
-Julie's bullied at home
-Meridian takes attendance at lectures
-Triton is the Meridian equivalent of Gamma (=
-Zhiyuan stays very far from TJ
Talked even more and Julie soon had to go for PDP. Met Dianthaaaaa under the stage who was with Pui Yee (though i forgot her name twice) She introduced me to a fun (and sadistic) game. Happy Tree Friends. And after a lot of trying, I eventually beat Jeryl's highscore. Haha. 15410 I think was my record. Lolz. Im sorry Jeryl, jz lucky i guess. Brought Dianthaaaaa to see the rehearsal of TI for a few seconds before she had to run off to her LEO GM
Now the day shifted to Temasek Idol. It was only 3 something and the room was already all set up and ready with lights and posters all in place with the laptops and everything. I helped with some of the setting up like taping wires and running ard with bits and pieces of information. It was dragging once again and i left jz before the final soundcheck. Got Julie's ticket and coulnd't hear Yi Ning on the phone. So sorry, she had to msg me. Haha. Then met JoJo and went for dinner.
It was late so I rushed a quick chicken rice and met Pearlyn, Zhi Ying and Mei Hui. Took Zhi Zhan's chicken rice back for him too. Haha, Pearlyn still welfaring ppl (=
Reached the audi and the arena was ready for stars to shine.
The atmosphere was just right, except perhaps the ludicrous PSI index in the room, courtesy of Zhi Zhan. From now on, I shall call the smoke machine the IndoFire. Haha. Qquite cool how it was remote controlled though. And before long, I was wandering ard with my students. Met the Temasek MTV people in the upper gallery. Who? Yes, the Temasek MTV, namely Shuming, Yi Ning, Julie and Shi Min. Go figure out why they're Temasek MTV.
Ran back to the control room and soon, the show was underway and I can honestly say the atmosphere was electrifying! The show started of with the theme song of the day I'll Be There For You (popularised by the Friends comedy series) by the Rembrants. The idols walked onto stage with a thunderous applause (with desibles of screams as well). Back in the Panic Room (read AV Control Room), the pressure and stress was on to get everything going right. Adi was the main projectionis, handling the backdrop and videos seamlessly. Soedar did the music with the help of ZZ's iPod for intervals and Claire was the lightings woman.
The atmosphere was tense in the room as votes were coming in even before the idols performed. Judges were straight to the point. Oh, they were Mr Daniel Chung, Ms Kwan and Alvin Tan of J3, Project Superband. After a great round of performances where Gordon peaked and Imran sank while Xiang Yun outclassed everyone, it was time for the groups
SPZ started things off but sadly, were quite off themselves, getting some negative comments. Same for Sarah and Zhi Wei and even Kita. Quaver were the obvious best although they weren't at their best. Sounds smooth ryte? Nope.
In the Panic Room, the walkies talkies were going almost non-stop and Adi was furiously swapping cables with Soedar for each video. And then swapped back for the voting procedures. For me, i voted
VOTE IDOL S4 S4 S4 S4 S4 S4 twice and
VOTE IDOL G4 G4 G4 G4 G4 G4 countless times. Hahaha!! In case u're wondering, thats for Xiang Yun and Quaver. But sadly, Xiangyun still got the least votes, but shes only TA1, so she has a bright future! Quaver got in and soon, it was time for the break. PSI went up to the max as even the outside was smoky.
Guest performances were really the best, with Alvin Tan and Chuang May being obvious winners for solo and group if they had participated. I need a HERO. ahha
Then things were tense as Arthi and Gordon made it through and Quaver and Kitaa were the finalists for the group. The American Idol Theme music really sounded nice as the results were announced!!!!
Then it was the solo category which i couldn't be bothered with anymore cuz Xiang Yun was out. But in the band category, Kita vastly improved but were no match for Quaver's killer song, My Immortal. The lightings were perfect and i think Yee Chiun took my advise on wearing red-black. The atmosphere was really there!! And at the results, it was obvious that Quaver was the winner and Arthi got the solo category. Err.. dun really care, but QUAVER WON!!! CONGRATS!!!
So they had confetti thrown down and Arthi and Quaver re-sang their last song and we ended with I'll Be There For You and the TI video.
The Panic Room was now over. And it was clean up. It was fast and smooth. Had "kachang puteh" from the sc. A thank you talk by my junior and Ms Fong and then we cleared out.
Last project and soon, its gonna be the 31st. An amazing night. Superbly done. 3 generations of PCs were there as my senior came back. But the last words of this post go to my beloved junior Tan Ying Xiu and thats all from me for Temasek Idol. Kenneth. OUT.
You more than made me proud, u have something to be proud of yourself! It was AWESOME!!Labels: Dianthaaaaa, EDB, FireFly, Grace, Jeline, Joanne, JoJo, Julie, Mark, Mdm Lisa, Mint, Shi Min, Shuming, Temasek Idol, Yi Ning, Ying Xiu, ZZ

# New Thursday
Haha, a quick little post before i run off for lessons again with the "new and improved" 03/07. Yups. Today has been quite eventful. Started off the day by seeing Mr Eugene do pull-ups and then came back to the igloo (read : staffroom) in the antartic (spelling error, i know).
Then the day got livelier (looks weird, maybe sp as well) as me,siok n aaron went to print the masterpiece crossword puzzle. i had the discounted 65 sheets while Siok and Aaron had 75 each. Within minutes we were done although Siok almost printed it wrongly as she's forgotten how to place the paper as Aaron gave a yawny-warning.
Left the place with our masterpiece but to ur horror, no.39 was missing! and so were two clues... So sad. So the masterpiece was actually incomplete. And Siok, who wants to save trees, decided to print it all again. We were like, write it on the white board lar *laughs together*
Then we decided to give clues and be nice RTs, which we always are btw =p so i surfed the net for pictures and created a rather nice automatic slideshow and soon it was time for lessons. Clues ranged from .... wait... i can't write it here or 21/07 will know the answer. Phew..
Yeah, it was a nice slideshow! Technically and aesthetically, for me at least. Met the new 21/07 in CR232. They were late, but considering their rojak combinations, I jz let it be. And after quite a while, they were all in except Shuming. She was at a medical checkup apparently but then she appeared right after my lesson... so suspicioius... the plaster must be fake! =p
The lesson was ok, i think. Maybe 21 could give some feedback? Did intros the way Ms Kwan did it with the old 04. Not too bad as i could roughly, very roughly, remember most of their names and associate them with relevant CCAs (cuz uniforms, are well... uniform) And they like Spanish footballers and chocolates. Then did the current affairs quiz with 5 groups. Here's how they fared. I think.. hehe
Polo Group - 7 - Winner!
Touch Group - 5 - Close second
Guys -1 - 4
Choir - 4
Soccer - 3
Me - 2
Haha, sorry if the scores are wrong, but yeah, i actually scored 2 points cuz they all got 2 questions wrong. Guys-1 cuz the last row were all guys except for Yee Wen (i think thats ur name? hehe) Choir cuz of SY (dunno her full name, and Valerie), Soccer-shermin and sarah, Polo-cuz they were all in TJ Polo (and Jianhui was spot on for them). Touch cuz of A Dell, ok ok, Adele and Yasmin.
Conclusion of this quiz
-they don't read newspapers
-Jianhui must have been lucky =p
-my laptop or the class is haunted
Then went off for lunch as today was Fryday. And Mr Eugene was late cuz of a Rubik's tutorial. Haha! Then as I was leaving, Phildia came back in with 21! Yay! Nice to meet her again and the first thing she said was that i cut my hair. And Zhi Yuan had to comment that my head looked smaller. Then talked with Phildia, Julie and the rest lar. Followed them to chem lab lesson with Ms Tay.
Phildia apparently doesn't like tall ppl. Or jz me. Haha. And it was quite funny cuz Ms Tay actually let Phildia in. And she was in a purple England top. Must have looked so weird. Oh oh, Julie is SLOW. haha
Then walked further on and saw Mr Eugene in the chem lab. And even funnier was Jojo who was stealing chemicals *sounds the alarm* Haha, so sad that the IP lab had no chemicals so she had to steal 4 bottles with droppers. Looked so funny. Yeah. Aactually thats all i wanted to blog about. Haha. Chemistry is so funny. First with Phildia in the lab in outside clothes, then JoJo stealing chemicals, and finally Ms Quah letting the students out late. And those students were 06. Im gonna see u people soon!
Alrights, back to being a tutor now..Labels: Aaron, Adele, Chemistry, Eugene, Jianhui, JoJo, Julie, Ms Tay, Phildia, Shermin, Siok, SY, Valerie, Yasmin, Yee Wen, Zhi Yuan

# Catch Up
Hello people. This is a long overdue blog entry. And yeah, its because i either had no mood, or was surprise, surprise... busy.
Yupz. So lets start all the way back in Malaysia. Haha, not when I was born, but when I went home to my home. Yupz. Was supposed to get back to scholarship applications at that time but a pc was so nice to have once again i started by slacking. Haha. Read the blogs i usually read and then pretty much did NOTHING. I just love Malaysia!
Then in the morning, I had my favourite breakfast for like, i dunno, 4 years already, at least? Nasi Lemak from my Maluri market. Yay, the chicken curry there is nice. The sambal too. (crap.. now im feeling hungry) And the rice is nice too. I need better adjectives other than nice.
Had some time to do shopping as well. Bought one pair of pants, which we changed for a bigger size. Haha, proof that im fat. 33 now already... wa... summore they didn't have black, so had to settle for almost black. Oh well. Bought two polo t-shirts as well so now my collection is up to 3! Yay, and the new ones are SO comfortable. Love the new blue. Hehe
Basically I just love the food in Malaysia. Had Shakeys, KFC (one piece of chicken, lolz), mamak (which still rocks), some Island Cafe thingy and Fish and Co. And I shall now elaborate on the last two.
Firstly, Fish and Co in 1 Utama. This was planned like the second day i got back but only got to it like, Friday. This was an adventure cuz firstly, I didn't know where the Fish and Co in Bandar Utama is. Was it at The Curve or 1 Utama. So mom jz drove towards The Curve cuz w thought it was there, but the jam leading into The Curve was horrible, we decided on 1 Utama instead.
Parked our car quite near the Elevator and i keyed in the parking lot number to my handphone cuz its so easy to lose a car. Then we just walked into 1 Utama mindlessly and within 5 minutes, we stumbled upon fish and Co. Yaynesses. I took a look at the now-familiar menu and saw the price of Fish and Chips. RM15.90. RM!!! Can u believe it!! I was laughing at the entrance. Lolz!!!
So we went in and ordered 3 set meals. Biggest mistake ever. But how bad could it be at RM19.90++, for Singaporeans, thats roughly $10. Haha! So the food took quite long to come. My sis and I took a walk in the 1 Utama Rainforest (SG-eans, dun think u'd understand, but thats jz reason to visit Malaysia =) and then came back cuz the Koi's looked like they were already overcrowded themselves in the "rivers".
Finally, our food came, firstly, the appetiser. Some soup. Nice tasting soup. (I need more foodie adjectives ryte..) Our drinks were around too, some Kola Tonic and Passion Fruit thingies. So we ate our desserts and the timing was not too bad cuz the 3 fishies swam along to our table in classic Fish n Chips, Grilled Corriander and Sweet Sour fashions respectively. But one side of veggies were late. Oh well, veggies dun swim.
So we ate and ate and ate and i gave my sis and mom warning not to eat ALL the fries first cuz its A LOT. Too much even. So we got the classic 3 sauces but mom wanted "normal (thats what the waiter called it) chilli sauce" so we got that too. And by the time we were halfway through, we were getting full. And the drinks were barely touched.
So we slowly ate and became more and more bloated. Then we coud go no further and decided to ta pao our remaing chips and veggies. As the fries left the table, the waiter mumbled something like, .....dessert... now....
We still had dessert!!!.... and we were like praying that it would be a single scoop ice cream. And when it came, it was three little cups of vanilla. The drinks were still not finished. Oh well. We tried our best and did manage to finish everything and felt extremely full. Mom said it was worth it paying RM19.90++ for it. Yay!!
So my suggestion was a good one. Although i doubt we'll ever eat Fish and Co again. The final bill was abt RM87 for 4 people. Lets play the conversion game and that leads to $38. Haha, eat your fishes out Fish and Co SG!
Other nice makan time was the one with SM, SY, C2, Dom and CY. It was at the mysterious place which Suet Mei didn't want to tell us before hand. Usually we would settle for mamak, but since SOMEBODY was having an ulcer and didn't want "heaty" food, so we had to go to a cafe. And when we picked everyone up and were on the way, she said the cafe SHOULD be around there and we should turn right. We ended up turning left...
So with brilliant directions from a woman, we eventually found the place, called Island Cafe. Haha. When we got a place to sit, I instantly didn't like the music cuz it was too loud, but oh well, we were here. Once again we took almost forever to order and I settled for some Mocha Choc Chips thingy. Not a wise choice cuz im not a coffee drinker. Oh well, we had more fun playing with the toothpicks that came with our shrimpballs. If i ever feel like it, i'll upload some photos from this night.
Interesting facts i found out about my friends
-Suet Mei is now attached
-See Tho is a human friendster, combined with Google News
-Dom and I are totally out of date with Malaysian friends latest news
-Postage to England, LSE, is incredibly expensive
-Shing Yee is pure evil, and proud of it
It was a nice time catching up with everyone and reminiscing old memories. Had fun guessing SM’s bf as well. And linking it with every other story. See Tho got a belated bday present as well. It was an annoying elephant toy which makes a stupid sound while flapping its ears. We’re supposed to be turning 20 this year… my gosh… But anyway, we enjoyed playing with it and the candy was very hard to get. Darn. At 12 midnight we were outside SY apartment building and making stupid noises with the elephant. But it was fun talking and talking and talking.
That’s abt it for my Malaysia trip. Special shout out goes to Claire for the chat (= Txs junior!Labels: 1 Utama, Chi Yee, Dominic, Elephant toy, Fish and Co., Island Cafe, See Tho, Shing Yee, Suet Mei

# Best Friend
It's slipped through my fingers
But perhaps I never knew
How to hold it in the first place
How to keep it close
In an ocean I feel thirsty
In a crowd, its lonely
A cloth to cover the world
Insignificant in every aspect
White, green, Black, red,
Crossed colours and beige,
Black and white, red,
Orange and brown,
Toe to head
Scars that are alive
Memories that never die
Reshaped a world
Pure ice
Its time to hold on
Decide, respond, strive
Maybe, It's all up to me

# Open Up The (Uni) Gates
Saturday
Its a day of Open Houses. Today's schedule was Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and then Heart of God Church (hoGc). Woke up on time and wasn't late. Looks like my saturdays are improving and becoming less piggish. Had a quick breakfast and then left for Tanah Merah MRT to meet Winnie who was so kind to help me settle the open house arrangements when i was lost at a particular bridge @ Yumei's. It was really quite funny and i totally refuse to accept the stack of tiles cuz i was on the phone ok Diantha. U r still the champion! =p
Yup, back up the hill and down the dragon and 12 was not too slow. Met Winnie at the control station who was on time. Mark of a good councillor. Hehe. Council rocks! Lalala. Ok, it was a long ride from TM to Boon Lay. Note to people who design Unis in Singapore. Did you guys have the map of Singapore when u designed it? Or did u guys throw darts to choose a location? Even so, it was quite a bad throw.
Oh well, that jz meant more time to chat abt council life and the MRT wasn't exactly empty till City Hall... Oh well, council always has lots of stories, but i interrupt this post to tell u that apart from Diantha, Fang Xian is also the queen of blurness. Here's the low down (pun intended, if u get it)
Fang Xian called Winnie to ask where we were and we said we were on the MRT on the way to NTU. Then she asked, when are u guys going to NTU. We were like... LOLZ... but oh well, its FX so shes always forgiven for being blur. Diantha, u can share ur mahjong tiles with her. Yeah, ok back to the MRT ride.
We talked almost all the way and when we reached Boon Lay, Winnie's friends were supposed to meet her there but considering they weren't from council, they were obviously late (I am being super biased, I know). Winnie tried to give them a call but with all the construction work, all she could get out of the conversation is that one out of the group was at Buona Vista. And the rest of the group wasn't even there yet. So we headed off to queue for the shuttle bus to NTU. Nice thing is that there were signs and student ambassadors there to guide poor little lost sheep along. Unlike NUS!! Ok, more on comparison later...
Waited like 20 minutes for the bus to come and finally spotted Winnie's friends arriving. Saw some TJCians too like Carine and Zhi Zhong, Timothy. And when they arrived, so did the bus, so yeah, we were there early for almost nothing. But at least we got to NTU on time. Once there, they had nice ppl on the bus and nice ppl to hand out goodie bags the moment i got down. NTU ppl, if you're reading this, ur open house was better than NUS IMHO. And then Winnie and I wondered into SBS (School of Biological Sciences), what an uncool acronym. But it served its purpose cuz I remembered where we got off.
Then later after much asking of questions to ppl at the booths, we moved on to the Quad. (why i remember the places' names, i dunno) and saw some of the CCA booths. Quite cool. And the best part was the seniors. Talked with a few and even met Fung Shin there who i am now asking questions to find out mroe abt NTU. Met Rachel there too who was in red. Haha. Blended in with NTU-ians. I dunno what they call themselves. Any suggestions?
-NTUnians
-Nanyangnites
-NTechies
Okay I give up.
Then we heard some interesting rumours like what PRCs are called in NTU and terminology for retaking a subject. And the best part abt not using the microwave oven cuz apparently some smart ppl use it as a dryer for socks. Why??? Universities are supposed to house smart people. Intelligent people. Why.... Yeah, found out more about hall life, took a meaningless tour for the sake of the aircon. Had some free Milo and a hotdog and drink which cost $1. Winnie took for me while I organized the "recycling" materials in my NTU bag.
And then the blur queen (FX, not you Diantha in case u're wondering =) called us and asked us to meet her at URECA. But by the time we were at URECA, she had already left and we also missed the movie with Winnie's cell. So we just slacked around in a rather homey NTU. Met Jayne there too! Some NYJCians and TJCians as well who were there for some talk on econs. I think they ponned the remainder of it. Sorry ya NTU. U guys have to make this sort of stuff more interesting hor..
After that, we decided to take the MRT out of there and so we headed to SBS, ahha, and then MRT-ed to Dhouby Ghaut. And unlike councillors, we decided on where to eat pretty quickly, ordered ate, and bumped into Sarah twice and then finally the blur queen and Gabriel. Then walked out to DG and then to hoGc. This is the next part of opening the gates.
Never heard of Heart of God Church before except from what Ps Mark said that it was modelled after City Harvest Church. And from the reception, it was apparent. Ushers from the first door, up the stairs, reception and at the doors. All in neat black. And the crowd was sort of like CHC as well with queues to get in. Finally got to our seat and some had to move later on. But it was rather hot in there but it was not too bad.
After a while, the service started with a new song. It started off with a bass solo by a female bassist. She looked cute. Haha, but the t shirt she was wearing was a little too scary for me. Haha. Skull with halo and wings. Hmmm. Oh well, she is a really pro bassist. And so is the rest of the worship team. Didn't know any of the songs but the ppl there were really enthu. Yup. If one word could summarize them, it would be "WOW" with some pun intended. Hehe.
Then after the great praise and worship session with 100% new songs for me, it was announcement and tea-time. Announcements were ok, and tea-time means testimony time in my church in KL, but yeah, they had awesome testimonies. Even had awards for those who scored L1R5 of 21-25 and below 20 and some for A levels as well. Basically, a church who don't ignore academic excellence (AE as they call it) and the biggest testimonies were from the best improved student from E,O,F for A lvl Prelim to A,A,B. Insane!!!! and O Levels, drop from L1R5 of 49 (so hopeless ryte?) to 27. thats like, a drop of 22 points!!!
Then had the Valentine's day testimonies as well of how they impacted their schools and also the Northbrooks Revival video. Wow. Really professionally done to tell and even greater story of true revival. Yup, after the awesome tea-time, it was time for Ps Glen Berteau.
He shared an awesome message of How People Turn Their Backs on God from the parable of the sower. The biggest impact on me was how the deceiver (the devil) talks to you and takes away your desires. How does the deceiver sound like? Apart from resembling ultra heavy metal (hehe) screaming, it is usually very very subtle. He whispers...
- you don't need to do it now
- you still have time
- you can do it later
- you can do it the next time
To me, it was like... yeah... how many times have I heard that in my head. When I wanted to study. When I wanted to do QT, i can always do it later. It never tells me not to do it, cuz i'll know straight away that it's the devil. He's not that dumb to scare us away. It's always ever so subtle. procrastinate, take that extra 10 minutes. You need that one hour more of sleep. Just be late, its alright... So many times I've been deceived. Yup, i've realised.
And he also talked about how we will have pressure and we have to make a stand.
Overall, it was truly an awesome service and yet another item on my wish list has come true. Yup, and being in Malaysia now, all the 5 items on my wish list have come true. Txs God for reading my blog. I know you did (=
After the service, CFC talked a bit, and i met Fiona, the only TJCian in hoGc, who's from LEO, Leosis! Haha, so cool ryte! Yeah, talked a bit and introduced her to Winnie and FX but i think she would have forgotten, but I'm looking forward to meeting u in school! Yup, then we had dinner at Kopitiam in PS. FX was a little emo but it got much better when we were seated down eating. Must have been the headache. Wouldn't know.
Then had a long bus ride home. Michelle and Adeline also joined us on the bus. Then got off, stopped at 7-Eleven for a snack (yes I do snack once in a while *winks*) then took 12 back to Sennett. Met Cadence on the bus who was going home after O-Nite, sorry could't be with you guys, but I wouldn't have missed hoGc for anything else in the world!! Then reached home and slept after doing laundry. Yup. nice nice saturday.
Sunday
Sunday started off nicely, walked and arrived at church on time from Sennett. Yay. Occupied the 3rd row and left poor Gabriel alone in the 1st row. Haha. Ok,he wasn't alone, Sarah was there too but our cell wasn't. Hehe. Praise and worship was good as always! Hehe, good pre-service prayer with Roland as well. Then the word was by Ps Ang's brother, Ps Johnny Ang. On Psalm 23. If you know what Psalm 23 is by heart, give me a shout ya? Yup, he related it very well to Alzheimers disease as well which is his ministry in the US.
After the service, cell met up and had prayer quickly by Mei Yian. Yay, then had admin matters and James had to go off. Prayed for Matthew to get his appeal into TPJC from IJC and guess what, this should be no surprise but it still was to me, He got accepted into TPJC!! Yay!! God really answers prayers!
Then it was back to Sennett after church cuz I realised that I didn't bring any identification to get my NUS PIN reset. Had plans to meet Winnie who was once again the only person who will be going to NUS open house. Ying Chuan had a meeting at 2.30. Oh wells, with some msgs to Gabriel and Winnie, i set off first back to Sennett.
This is a special shoutout to Mei Yian who got me biscuits for my breakfast! Txs! Really do appreciate it! I LOVE MY CELL!!
Then after reaching Sennett, I went to Beer Garden to meet up with Gabriel and to have lunch. After that, Glanies came and with Melvin the only one left, I decided not to be glowing and left for Sennett once again. Why? cuz I forgot FX's letter of authorisation for the NUS PIN reset. Also cuz I had nowhere else to be while Winnie, Shujing and FX had their heart to heart talk with Aunty Aye Lan. So I played the guitar in Sennett while waiting and somehow things got messed up that Winnie was waiting for me at beer. Oh well...
Rushed down and it was nice to know that Shujing was joining us at NUS as well. Yay, so the 3 of us had a long long 10 bus ride down to NUS from Beer. Talked abt many things. And FX even called when we were talking abt her. Haha. Ok, so maybe Winnie can be blur, but u're still the queen FX!
Finally reached NUS and went in through the side gate at roughly 4 plus. Just followed the signs and walked abt 600m to the Open House. Walking was faster than waiting for the bus. Ironic. Then reached the main open house area. It looked really messy and we went to ask our questions. Got ticked off by the Office of Admissions guy who said i was rude for not using "please" when I asked if he had a pen I could borrow. Come on, I wasn't even demanding a pen,a nd his nice colleague nicely offered me one. Some ppl are jz so much nicer. And he kept on harping on the fact that I was rude. What a ... (Zsa Zsa, u can fill in a word here. lolz.)
Then got both our PINs reset and then went off to the ENG booth. They were so helpful. Asked me to look at the website to get info abt the syllabus. So what was I doing at the open house. Lame... And the people were so firerce, shouting al over the place when giving announcements. Blah. Jz got irritated by NUS. Took a campus tour which didn't help cuz the two people inside jz told us what the stops' names were. I could have read that myself, no thanks to you. And finally got back.
Met XiuYu while queing up and finally took the MRT back to Dover. Shujing had a car to get her.Nice ryte? Oh well, then I MRTed to Bedok adn almost missed my stop. Did my shopping at Parkway. And to my classes, I bought some simple stuff for u guys for next term. Bought some chocs for my teachers too. Haven really thanked them yet.
Actually did quite a lot of roaming ard Giant. And also stopped by LIFE to see if All Of The Above is out yet. No such luck. Even Never Stop by PS isn't out yet. Oh well, it will be soon I hope. Then came back home, and then slept.
Monday
Monday was much faster. Did more schoalrship stuff, sat in a mock interview with one of the groups, bought my bus ticket. Reached home safely. Yay. And after a wodnerful night's rest and a full day of blogging and pigging. Im here once again.Labels: campus tour, female bassist, Fiona, Fung Shin, FX, hoGc, Microwave, NTU, NUS, Parkway, ShuJing, Winnie, WOW, Zsa^2

# Found
Thursday
It seems so long ago, looking back. It was rather a dull day other than the fact it was fry-day. Eugene and JoJo had quite a fun time giving out points. Sorry to Shermin and co who walked away and missed 1000 pts. Mostly did scholarships and university applications. Mostly a boring day, feeling rather lost. And was actually looking forward to Friday. Mahjong seemed tempting.
Friday
Continued applications from the previous day. Also saw Eugene playing TD with Aaron. Had Canadian $10 lunch as well with the RTs. Nice. Im really not in the mood to blog, but its sort of the reason why im blogging. Just wanna be FOUND. By so many poeple. But I'll be back on this issue. More of what happened next that was quite exciting.
Guest appearance of Jia Yi in TJ. Met her at scroom. Had quite a nice time talking. About council. What went right and the many wrongs. The traditions. The fun. The mistakes. The fights. The people. Its common knowledge that the 29 has been outshined by the 30. We all know they've pulled the right strings in and left some loose. They've held the right people close while for us, its only a shadow to be feared.
A unity we could only hold together has been cemented
Privileged
Yet not knowing the price
Strong
Yet lacking the refining fire
Favoured
Unknowingly masochistic
Great
Yet ungrateful through time
Yet what can a shadow say
Observing
Yet what is lost cannot be found
Stepping away
Council has been good. It always will be, it's the very essence that keeps it going. No matter the batch, the traditions held, the culture taught or the knowledge passed down. It will groom you if you let it. It will teach you if you are willing to learn. To Diantha and Cadence, if you want to run for council, give it your best shot. If you get in, don't waste the many chances to learn and grow. It won't be easy, I know, but it will be harder if you get in and don't benefit from it.
Had a great time talking with JY, showed her 06 and 21 in the hall during the emo time they had. Danced two mass dances and a speedy. Laughed a lot at the chaotic fun-dance. Pointed out ppl like Eugene, Samuel, Cadence, Yumei, Mengting and others from 06 and Julie, Shuming and others from 21. Didn't find 04. Sorry. But then, all good things come to an end and it was time to leave the hall.
Back to scroom and then left to meet 06. Yay. But then realised i didn't have my wallet with me. Made 06 wait quite a lot. Sorry Yumei, knew u were really not feeling weel. Rushed to the staffroom and realised i didn't have my wallet. So I was heading for dinner at Simpang with 06 OGLs + Joanne without any money. But of course they weren't gonna let me starve and Cadence and Diantha offered money. Txs for the offer and esp Diantha for the $10.
Walked to the 2 and 9 bus stop and got on after quite a long wait and a talk on sc life. Finally reached Simpang Bedok and met 21 there. Haha, Shuming was so terrified of the pokes. And i did finally give in to one poke as 21 were leaving. Sat down and took almost forever to order. The menu wasn't very clear or helpful either so I had a mango with lychee dessert and 1 plain and 1 egg prata (read roti canai to Malaysians). Should have ordered my dessert later cuz it came way before anything and I slowly ate it. Some things i found out that night
- Cadence is a VERY slow eater
- Diantha is a slow eater
- Cadence, Karilynn and Dianthaaaaa all wear braces
- Stephanie is a healthy eater
- Yingen and Jaren eat fast
- (i already knew this but) 06 is full of cam-whores. Haha
Then after a very long dinner and queue time paying we left for Yumei's. The surviving people that made it there were just Yumei (duh), Ying and Jar EN, Cadence and Dianthaaaaa.
Had a nice bus ride with almost the whole bus to ourselves then reached Yumei's place which is so cool. Wish I could stay there. Haha. But the rooftop is really nice. Except people that are still high from orientation decide to bang the railings to cheer beats and stomp on the rooftop rather than enjoy the scenery. Took more pictures. Man... One should get Yumei an analogue camera and see how she suffers with film. Then went down for Mahjong and i surfed the net.
Took a swap after that and played mahjong instead, but ended up losing all anyway. Yup, so my mahjong skills haven been upgraded. But this time I could play without reference to the paper. Ok fine, I had to ask Yumei or Diantha, but well, i wasn't totally blur. I think. lolz.
Then had more fun playing bridge with Diantha. Ok, clarification on the scoreline, it was 3-2. So nobody thrashed anyone although i totally owned the first game and she almost owned the last no-trump game until I got control. Haha. Finally got the mahjong ppl to bridge. Which was a good thing cuz 4 man bridge is so much better. Bad thing cuz Yumei doesn't bridge so she curled up on a sofa and slept. Sorry to Yumei again. Then instead of leaving at 11 to get the last bus, we decided to stay till 11.50 to cab home and avoid the midnight surcharge. Jaren got his dad to come.
So we bridged on, was really fun to bridge once again, legally. Haha. And major discovery here is....
-Dianthaaaaa is the ultimate blur queen at bridge! *gives stacks of mahjong tiles!!!*
Finally we decided to leave and Dianthaaaaa led the way. You can so tell that this was a recipe for disaster but we were all too tired to realise. She didn't know the way. So we just walked till we reached a road. So much for avoiding the midnight charge. Then we found a taxi. Without a driver... Dotzzzz... Continued walking until we found a cab and took it home, with Cadence dropping off first in TP, then Dianthaaaaa the blur queen at Simei and me last. For the record, I owe
-Eugene $10
-Zsa Zsa $10
-Cadence $7
-Dianthaaaaa da blur $17
Oh well, it was a nice time (=Labels: bridge, Cadence, council, Dianthaaaaa, Eugene, Jaren, Jia Yi, Julie, Karilynn, mahjong, Shuming, Simpang, Stehanie, Yingen, Yumei, Zsa^2

# More Than Life
Monday
Okays, after emo-ing on sunday, life continued like normal. Still feeling happy but lazy to shift. But I got it done anyway. But that's later. Morning was quite bad. Dunno why I was so drained. I already had the Sunday to myself and still I was tired. Oh well.
But i reached school as usual and really the blur me forgot to bring my laptop charger. So I had the laptop but no power. So it had to run on battery and to make matters better, Jonathan borrowed my laptop for a lesson he was relieving. So when it came back, it had thankfully lots of battery left, but still, i had a lesson to prepare.
Not having my own laptop is so weird, doing a Current Affairs Quiz on an alien laptop just feels wrong. So i tried to get it done by 10am by sending the file back to my laptop. Tried to get the usual images for background but for some absurd reason, i was blocked from Google Images Search page! Why?? Why?? Just beside me, Siok's was working just fine... So I tried to rush it but to no avail as only 2 questions were done and thats more like a question than a quiz. So I went to 06 with totally NO lesson planned.
Thank God they didn't expect one either. Haha, so I basically wasted time with admin stuff, except the feedback part which was the real thing i needed. Then we went off to take pictures. Quite funny how most people were in their ties and others were casual. But we took pictures anyway. More to come this Friday I think!
Then after cam-whoring and getting a nice 4-piece poster, i went back to the staffroom. Did the daily crossword although i lost to the Siok-Neha-Aaron group, i still managed to finish it with random letters here n there. Then Aaron got us a ride to Quality Hotel where our celebratory lunch was to be held. Siok and I were laughing over how it sounded so fake, like : Buy this Quality Detergent or Use Quality Noodles. Sort of the Minyak Angin Cap Kapak sort of thing... Only Malaysians will get it i guess. And Qquality Hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Oh well.. We waited quite a while but no complaints when u get a free ride in a private car of Mrs Neo, so it was cool.
Reached the Grand Ballroom after everthing had started, and the few of us in the car sat down at a table. I ate too much. Haha, but its a buffet, you're meant to eat too much ryte? I ate
-Olive Rice
-Roast Chicken
-Sweet sour fish
-Beef stew
-Hong Kong Noodles
-Some veggie... why???
-A second helping of chicken n fish. haha
-Laksa
-Chicken rice
-Cakes for dessert
-Drank orange juice and water
It was good food, but not excellent or I would have exploded. Walked with Eugene, Neha and JoJo to the MRT and MRT-ed back to Bedok. Took 31 to the back gate which was wonderfully locked so I walked the long way around. Oh well... Met some games com ppl and then some SCIP dudes and two dudettes. Few councillors were around too and they were loud. SC is loud. That's cool.
After a while, heard a familiar tune from the piano. I knew it had to be Evelyn. Yay!! One of my wish list came true!! I didn't have a guitar around but I'm not complaining. Sang quite a few songs, listened to some from 5300. It was nice. Evelyn had quite a few nice songs i've never heard of before. Even a Malay one. Haha, but Hari Ini still rocks. Oh, and sorry if i sang really bad hor Evelyn. Then after a while, Zico wanted to talk to her so i stoned around and allowed my food to digest. Then talked to Eng, who was later joined by Evelyn. The SCIP dudes seemed to be busy with the video. No idea how that's gonna turn out but ever since my year, Orientation videos have been awesomely cool. Seriously, the videos are reason enough to turn up for orientation ok?
Then after that, Evelyn left to get the JAE Posting results. Perks of being in SC. mua ha ha ha. But in the end, she didn't get a hard copy of the list, so sad, but she had a long time talking. And i didn't see her after that. Smart move Evelyn. The $4000 of orientation shirts arrived and we helped Eng get it into the scroom which has the world's MOST horrible lock. Called Steffi to get the combi, but the dial is such a horrible one that my fingers were hurt. But I randomly turned the thing and after half an hour (not exaggerating), it fell open. Phew...
Counted all the t-shirts and hauled them into the council room. Then stayed around a while before leaving for dinner and home.
Read the newspaper like a good GP tutor while eating dinner and finally told Aunty Lily that i was moving out. Somehow, i think she knew i was going to ask. But it was cool. Went smoothly and i went back to finalise the packing. Was waiting for the cab peak hour to end at about 8 and dragged majority of my stuff down. Flagged a cab and the uncle was friendly. Cost me $3.20 though. I reached my new home.
No one was in. An eerie loneliness was in the air. Unpacked my stuff slowly. Didn't quite like the smell in the room but i will survive. Decided to take a walk back home to make sure im familiar with the surroundings. Had a nice slow walk in the night home alone. Took about 25 minutes?
Part Two (a) of my wish list came true. There was FX who sms-ed me and we started to chat. Then there was Winnie. Then Aunty Kaith. Then had mom too. There were so many people msging me. Haha. Sort of funny how my wish came through digitally. Was nice to be not "lonely" on my last night in my now-ex house. Here's the complete list of ppl that I msged or msged me for various reasons.
-FX
-Winnie Chew
-Aunty Kaith
-Mom
-Stephanie Sim
-Anantha
-Cheresa
-Zsa Zsa
Looks like the only GP rep here missing is...you would know urself la ya? But no biggie. Jz had a nice night. End of Monday
Tuesday
JAE Day. Not a nice day. Shall skip everything that happened. Wanna know, talk to me? Haha. Blogging isn't everything. Just had a very low atmosphere. Fast forward to the nice part of the day, lunch with 06
It was so nice of them to decide on Gelare at Siglap instead of Far East so I had time to go with them. Had a long time waiting, and a less, but still long time ordering. But it was worth it. Had a nice time eating, chatting, and most importantly like any 06 outing, taking photos. Took some really nice ones, maybe 06 u could gimme some links for the photos of the day? Sorry goes out to Diantha who has the scariest photo of me ever. And to those i got the camera flash in their eyes. But overall it was a nice time and i took forever to leave. Darn...
Was late (yet again) for badminton at Chai Chee, but the remaining 45 minutes was worth it. Sweated a lot but had a nice game. Shot of the day, cross court from my right to the left which was almost horizontal and only about 2-3cm above the net and landing just inside with no chance to Sean. You had to be there to see it. Hee...
Then headed back to school, the long way from the interchange and got a Big Gulp. Sat around with some SC ppl and then went to the Audi. Then went home, rushed a bath, went to old house to surrender the key, collect deposit and toothbrush *winks*, went to tuition, which the family provided me with dinner, and taught tuition. Then crashed home. I was so tired... Slept till today, 6.50 instead of 6.15.
Wednesday
Yup, I was late. No surprise so I rushed out of bed, up my hill and down the six-sided dragon. School started rather differently with a mini farewell to Mr Liu. Mrs Pang takes his place as he goes off to be a principal. Mr Cecil takes her place. Then had nothing to do in the staffroom. Met some of the OGLs like Xuewen, Cai Yu (? hehe), Julie, Yumei, Shermin, and many more students.
Met Teik Kheng today and helped him with his printing and stuff. Realise I have lots of things to get done as well. Oh well. Had lunch with 21, rather, OG13 (which is sadly nameless) and talked with them. Talked to a few, maybe just one or two 2nd intakers. A cedarian. VJ reject, appealing back in. Overall, a lack of enthusiasm, characteristic of O2
Then after lunch, met Ms Lau and talked to her a bit. Then met Xuewen and Cai Yu and later on other students like Song Han and Jacob, Nicole. Then met the other RTs and Heri and Sam. Yup. Had the tribal music group who were really good perform. Potentially illegal information, they cost $1500 an hour, so yeah, they were really good. Too bad im not a tribal music fan. Found out Yumei isn't either. Hehe!
Then almost missed staff conference which had no relation whatsoever to the RTs and then had department meetings. Never knew colleges knew both the paper 1 and paper 2 grades of the students. Also, TJ Lit did extremely well. 71% Distinctions, 40% above National Average. Econs S also had 80% Distinctions. So thats some good news. Then had the bad. If i get the soft copy of results, they'll be here ok? For GP only lar of course.
Then debriefed about the English Fair. Had many comments. And i did bring up the fact that the blogs lagged like CRAZY. But also that most people bonded through this English Fair and got introduced to a variety of GP issues within the first few weeks. Many confidential details were also discussed. Haha, my students must feel so curious now. Oh well, nothing much, but there will be changes for the next EL Fair.
After the meeting, Im here in the staffroom. Back to marking I think.Labels: Cai Yu, English Fair, Evelyn, Gelare, Jacob, JAE, Julie, Nicole, packing, pictures, Quality Hotel, Shermin, wish list, Xuewen, Yumei

# Wish List
Im just a little jaded if that's the word. Feeling rather alone. God, i know u're here, right beside me. But i just wish i could talk to you. Not in the sense of prayer but rather 1 to 1. To hear your thoughts. To know what you feel about things. Guess that just means i wanna and need to grow deeper.
So here's a little wish list i thought of while doing laundry. Maybe some *FAIRYDUST* would help now eh?
Top Five Things Kenneth Stephen Wilson Wants at the moment
1. Mom to be here. Just wanna hug her and see how proud she must be of me. Just wanna give her back so much for all she's sacrificed for me. I dun even mind giving all my tuition money to you. Really. Love you so much. You prayed for me so much there must have been no way I could have failed my As. Also, the lazy part of me just wants someone to care for me. To be here for me. For me to wish goodnight too. For me to wake up and see in the morning. Miss you mom.
2. Someone to talk to. Cell mates, you guys are awesome people. My students, its nice getting tags and shouts. Too bad someone forgot my MSN. Haha. But, I'm really in want (or maybe need) of someone I can just talk to about my day. Blogging is cool, but it just doesn't cut it. I love talking to people. Talk about anything and everything. Everything, really... But its so hard to find a person who would want to talk so much. To hear an opinion, to see a smile, to write a memory.
3. Someone to play the guitar with while the person plays the piano. Yes, I still miss those times YQ. The person preferably should be able to sing also cuz I can't. But its just a preference cuz i'll sing to God, in key or not anyway. Yeah, someone who of course must love Hillsong, Planet Shakers, Christian City Church that kind of music. No secular stuff, those kind of music is so meaningless on the inside. I miss someone who i can just spend hours with singing and playing songs with. Thinking of new ways to play songs, medleys, transpose. Basically worship together. Also on a mini sidenote, any of the following albums would be great to hear as well. Jesus Is - Hillsong London, any Christian City Church album cuz i've never heard one, Never Stop - Planet Shakers, Arise - Planet Shakers, and the newest All Of The Above - Hillsong!!
4. Be in God's awesome presence and embrace. I miss the feeling of APYAC which I got a tingling of at YA. Just wanna literally let heaven touch my heart. To walk with a deep fire burning in me. Jumping down sidewalks praising God. To have a sense of the true almighty God of the universe in me. Basically to feel that contentment in life. A levels rocked, but it won't last forever. God, i know you will.
5. Someone to help me shift my stuff. Anyone... So many things to pack. No idea how to tell Aunty Lily that im finally moving out. Actually, its not even a lot of things to pack. I'll just get it done alone tomorrow afternoon. God please send someone or some people. I don't wanna do it alone. Ok, God i know you have everything planned out, and its not really an impossible thing to ask for cuz i stay like 15 mins from TJ to a place 10 mins from TJ. Just want someone to help me. And i'd prefer if i could talk to that person/people too. Haha. Ok, i just wanna talk.
Don't get me wrong, im not sad or depressed. Just some things i realised that im still not feeling fulfilled over. Before i sign off *sprinkles FAIRYDUST*
Teaching rocks. I am considering being a teacher. Txs 04,06,21Labels: christian music, MOM, talking, teaching career, wish list

# Heart of Worship
Saturday
Im still ecstatic over my A level results. Hehehe. My cell group also did quite well. Shall not write their results here lest they get angry if people find out, but lets jz say there are two 8D people, one 5D, one 4A, many great results that God blessed!
Yeah! I was really awesome. And today started off well with me waking up relatively on time compared to previous saturdays. Which translates to me being on time for tuition on saturday. So this saturday is different cuz 1 - i was on time 2 - i wasn't a pig!
Gave tuition which was rather easy, just finished Electromagnetism and went through questions. God, thank you for refreshing my memory. Especially the van de Graff machine MCQ. Half way through tuition i found out i wasn't on for today's service so that meant i had the whole afternoon to myself. That's where the A level blog came in.
MRTed from Toa Payoh to Bedok and stopped for KFC there. First KFC meal in quite a while. Sorry Macs, too many McSpicy's already. At least Macs Mayo n Garlic Chilli is still nicer then KFC's chilli that so hard to open. So i settled for tomato sauce instead. Then almost caught 197 but had to settle for 196 instead.
Reached home and blogged. Then did my pre-service prayer and QT as well. In no time it was time for pre service prayer. In rushing I kept on making mistakes lar. And Gabriel told me to get a projector ready. I thought it was an overhead projector so i typed the 9 names into my phone. I reached there on the dot of 6.15 and disappointed Gabriel. But i still got the most of my sharing prepared. And to my embarrassment, the projector was an LCD one and good thing Rayvin already prepared the slides. I was so blur, confused and embarrassed. But nvm. It went well, enough for me at least for my first time.
Shared on Encouragement - The Spoken Word. First scripture came from QT, Psalm 94v18. Oh wow.. i can remember the chapter and verse. Yup. Then prayed with the Musicians and main idea was on the atmosphere of the service of expectancy and response. Which really came true, but more on that later.
The day was far from over when I ended pre-service at abt 6.55. Went to Hall 3B and the musicians were already there. Met Winnie at the pc/soundboard. Talked a bit and Meredith called me. Realised in all the rush, i forgot my sermon book, Bible and watch. Txs for bringing it to Hall 3B for me! Then Gabriel called me to help him out with the lightings. Which i tried to do but didn't know how to unknot the wires so i just resorted to cutting it. Haha.. Not literally, but quite so. Anyway, didn't follow the right procedure for setting up. Sorry Ying Chuan and L.A Team. Then Joel came and helped with the setting up. Found the most retarded scissors in the world and after struggling, managed to set up the 4 lights. Yes, 4 was an accomplishment k? OK fine, Joel did 1. 3 then. Still good! Haha.
In all the rush, I didn't have time for dinner and the quick run down to SPC was jz left behind. Then it was soon 7.30 and i went to get a drink. Saw MY n BS outside. BS was eating char siew rice. He couldn't finish it and was rushing so i ate the other half. Yay, God blessed me anyway with a dinner! Ok, a mini dinner. Waited for BS and met XiuYu who went in first. Then we went in.
Praise was alright, Now That You're Near still felt far. Then moved into All I Want Is You which was goo and Show Me Your Face, a new song which was nice. Took a while to learn it though. Then too soon, worship was over and it was Gabriel with the announcements and Ying Chuan with his A level testimony. From F/O to A/B. wow...
Then it was the awesomely powerful Rachael Guna with part two to Explosive Praise and Extravagant Worship. Here's a brief run through of the superbly powerful sermon/sharing.
EXTRAVAGANT WORSHIP
Things I didn't know
- God commands us to praise Him when times are good or bad. But He seeks out true worshippers. When we worship in spirit and in truth, God will come and find us, search for us, look upon us.
- Worship comes from the Greek word proskuneo which implies reverence and bowing down
Things that were POW!!
- Worship is intimate. 1 on 1, unlike praise which can be as a group
- It's God focused. So even when we don't "feel" anything from worship, it doesn't matter. Cuz you're supposed to be giving to God. Rachael : "So you mean you have been receiving all this years in your worship?" HAHA... Don't take it wrongly, God blesses and touches us, but its not how we feel after worship that matters, but how God feels
- Between worship and service, God would choose a true worshipper. Cuz all God wants is us, not what we can do for Him. Luke 10v38-42
- We worship first then are we forgiven. So no matter how "unclean" or unworthy we feel, we should still worship Him, then the forgiveness and healing will come. Luke 7v36-50
- God can respond to worship by revealing things to us. This goes out specially to Claire. When the world seems to see the wicked prospering, the evil not being cast away, when things go wrong, we can only start to understand when we worship. Read this RHEMA verse people!!! Psalm 73v16-17
- And finally, not forgetting that God loves us in return when we worship Him. The all powerful Mighty to Save verse is here. I found it out suring QT and remembered it when Zephaniah 3v17 was flashed on the screen. But focus on the ending!
Things that Im still blur about
- What does it really mean when people say God is no man's debtor? Please respond anyone who knows? Either comment or shout/talk please?
- How did Abraham know it was God speaking to Him to sacrifice Isaac? When people teach us to listen to the voice of God, they say check what u heard "from God" agianst what is said in the Bible. The Bible obviously bans us from sacrificing humans, much more our own children. How did this father of faith know God's voice so well?
Please do explain to me if you know in the addition section at the end of this post. Thanks!
Then we went into extravagant worship after the sermon. I have NEVER (I am purposely using an absolute word here) experienced such worship before. It was really, wow. Revived my soul, my inmost being. More than just rejoicing over A levels, im rejoicing on the inside as well.
Church rocks!!! YA rocks!!!
Then we quickly packed up and wanted to continue or surprise for FangXian. This is now Cell Surprise no. 3. We tried to quickly pack up but everyone was everywhere. Quite frustrating and we were late already. Tried to reach airport by 11 but by 10.50 we we still just outside church. The surprise crew consisted of me, BS, MY and Winnie.
We got into a cab finally and reached the airport slightly after 11 but BS had called to make sure FX was still around. Found her shop but no sign of FX, so we walked nearer. Still no sign until suddenly we saw FX come out to close the shop. BS n MY ran to hide beside the shop while Winnie and I dashed under a railing to join BS n MY. Then we stood right beside the shop, leaning against the wall and suddenly, FX came out of the shop to close a door or pull down a shutter. She was like, 30cm away from us and DIDN'T NOTICE US!!! The four of us turned around and walked away thinking what idiots we were standing so close to the shop and got noticed. We were giggling and feeling stupid, but little did we know that FX was more blur.
Waited quite a while above C.E.D.S and saw FX come in and out quite a few times. She had no idea we were above her. MY also tricked me a few times. Darn. Tried the poking thing but not as fun as when I do it on 21-ers. Finally FX came out and BS, then MY and Winnie, then I surprised her. Then we decided to go and eat at Popeye's. Long story cut short, the top 5 blur people of YA, in decreasing order of merit are
1. Wu Fangxian
2. Lim MeiYian
3. Roland Tan
4. Gabriel Gay
5. Unclaimed as of yet, but Winnie apparently has a one day lag time (improved from one week!)
Then we had a long talk on how to get home and after a long long long long deliberation, we decided to cab back at 1 plus am. Not the wisest of choices due to surcharge and airport pick-up, we cabbed 3-2 back to our homes. Decided that one day we will crash FX's house.
Reached home and went online and sms-ed a bit. Replied tags and shouts on my blog. Chatted and then fell asleep. Sorry Winnie.
Sunday
Missed Jayne cuz she was late. Sorry its the last day already. Went to church and sat in the 2nd row for the first time I think. Service was great, but still YA was better. Songs were VERY nicely put together. This Is The Day to Everyday With You Lord. Nice. Then I Could Sing of Your Love Forever. Very nicely done. The sunday worship team is so pro at medley-ing lar... Then had cell talk and Grace from simply joining for the talk was dragged to lunch. Haha. Jean was there too. Yay. Talked and then did our weekly grocery/chocolate shopping.
On my checklist was still the strawberry milk. Hee... and on the choc list was Kinder Bueno. Other chocs n drinks bought were 1.5L coke, 1.25L Kickapoo, Kit Kat Chunky and Black Forest Cadbury.
Then we split our separate ways. Stopped at FX's bus stop a while. Coral, Maddy and Mishuel (obvious spelling error, sorry) joined in a while then i reached home and did this post. Yay. Sunday rocks. Laundry next. Shifting at night I think. Bye room.Labels: BS, C.E.D.S, cab, FX, Gabriel, Jean, MY, Roland, Winnie, Worship

# Awesome God
Okay, I just HAVE to blog about yesterday. The 2nd of March. Perhaps the biggest checkpoint in my life so far. A Levels came out today.
The day had already been anticipated by me a whole 3 weeks ago. When all the rumours saying it was after Os or whatever. I knew it had to come. And reliable sources indicated it was to be today. And it was so.
Day started off like any other day.
YEAH RIGHT!
The moment I entered the staffroom, the atmosphere was different. I knew by the time I finished my first lesson, the results would have arrived. My ingenious plan to stay out of the staffroom didn't materialize. But I wasn't nervous. I was so much better prepared this year than any other results day. Cuz I know my God will make a way for me. It's Gonna Be Alright! So I was rather calm.
Went to 421 for my first lesson of the day. I must have dreaming or something cuz 06 arrived before I did. Miracle of miracles eh? So I went ahead and taught them the AQ, which is pretty obvious to them by now, my favourite part of GP!! Did the whole "structuring an argument" lesson based on the AQ and spent the rest of the time (which always finishes too fast) on the AQ.
Dunno why but I decided to bring my water bottle to class and good thing I did too cuz its one of the first times i started to choke on nothing... So weird. But lessons still went on. 06 must have thought i was too scared or nervous, but let me assure you, I wasn't. Okay, maybe a little. Haha.
Then went back to the staffroom. Siok was there. She couldn't sit down. Haha. Paced around her desk. Talked to her and soon, it was time for 21.
CR 104 i think. And surprises of all surprises, there were some of them already there!!! Results should come out everyday man.. then can have more time for lessons. But the excitement was short lived when only half the class was there and the remainder came in late. Haha, remainder sounds like maths to me. Yes, i know its just me. And did the same lesson on the "structuring an argument" and then the AQ. Really hoping 21 and 06 caught the AQ well, cuz its actually easy to score in it. *wink to Shermin* And the choking thing happened again. Oh well... And i accidentaly stepped on the article i was using and put it at Zsa^2's folder. Forgot to take it back. Sorry to Zsa^2. Then it was Ms Kuah's lesson. And I was already late for 04's.
Reached 04 and its no surprise by now that they were already there. Oh well. Gave them the world's hardest compre to do and went through their essays. Missed Selina and Zach though. At the stroke of halftime, 5 more players were brought onto the GP field (jz read James' football blog) *Phildia, u can give it a read too* from the KI locker room. But there were two casualties in the conversion process and off they went. They took a token of appreciation for their participation in the form of papers.
It was soon lunch time... ok, didn't feel to quick for me though... And Kenneth still wanted to avoid the staffroom. Nice to bump into Mr Eugene and went down for lunch. Bought my food and placed it on the table. Then i went through Shi Min's (pronounces it the way i like it... bluack...) essay. Mary Jane maybe? Haha and then Y/Ni N/Ying's. Then Kathleen's, then Hui Shian's. By then, flies already turned my Malay Food Meal into a Gourmet of Bacteria but txs and txs to those who turned their arms into fans, i didn't get a stomach upset. Yay.
Finally ate my food and talked to the 21-ers around. Then that fateful sms came. I dun think the P or VPs of TJ will ever find my blog unless you people tell them, I shall let this private information be shared in bits and bytes.
Teacher A sms-ed me (yes, I am being a little paranoid here) saying congrats and that Teacher A was proud of me! I was really overjoyed, ecstatic, exhilirated. Then there was one more sms. I knew what it was and didn't want to open it. Julie had the privilege of being the first to know my exact results, even though she didn't know what it actually meant. Haha. I was really in a state of ecstatic-shock. Trembling, in joy. Shivering, in excitement. Tearing. On the inside. I knew my prayers were answered. I knew, they were more than answered. They were pressed down, shaken together and over-flowingly answered. I couldn't move! Couldn't stand. Couldn't talk. It was just an awesome moment. Thank you so much, my Awesome God!
Then on, a big weight had been lifted off my shoulders... I had this (most likely, please do tell me 21) spastic smile on my face for the whole day up till the actual thing in the hall. Went opposite to meet up with the others from 01. Yup, a whole bunch of botak guys and an Indian, an Indo and various other people. Then came back to TJ to use the toilet with Thammie. Met some 06 OGLs and various other people along the way. Then went to the guys toilet and I went to the staff one jz to make fun of Thammie, who was slightly slower than usual. Haha. Anyways, we wondered around school with ChenYi.
And to those of you who actually remembered what she was wearing, I like those kind of Tees. Haha, its jz my taste in how girls should dress up. Told her she looked nice in it. But don't think she realised what it really meant. Oh well. The colours were nice too. It jz looked great. *smile* And this is my blog so I shall be slightly more thick skin ya? Then again, don't think anyone would remember what she wore though but that's ok. My batch people were dressed in many different types of outfits. Ranging for casual to ARMY. From 6-inch-nano-pico-micro-minis to Oversized pants. From dull and black to striking reds. From polos to Polo's. From simple to triple layered with matching make-up. But me, I jz liked the simple top ChenYi had on.
Had a walk with Thammie and ChenYi cuz we were "clique-less" at that time. Walked around school, from canteen to audi to back again and aimless stoning. Saw all sorts of people and emotions. From the cool to the clueless. The calm to the calamity-stricken. From fooling around to frozen cold. From nervous to nevermind. It really was a big day.
Soon, the hall was open and Ms Thangam tried to get me to go in and i said i didn't want. Haha, but i did anyway.. so good boy.. haha.. then sat down like the super obedient 01 that we are. And Mr Tong started things off by reminding us he was the DM, in a funny way. The biggest error of the slideshow was them using the college crest without the letters J and C in it. Don't think any other TJ fanatics noticed it but oh well. Its just me.
Mrs Loke gave an "inspiring" speech before the results were announced. I was once again sitting beside Thammie. And to my students, Thammie is a MALE. Then soon the countdown began. Or rather, count-up. 3Ds... 4Ds... Dissapointed gasps as well as satisfied screams were echoing the hall. Was so shocked when Thammie didn't appear in the 4 or 5 D list either. We thought it was over. 6 D. Still nothing. Neither had I anything to be certain of.
7 DISTINCTIONS
01 - KENNETH STEPHEN WILSON
*SCREAAAAAMMMMMMMSSSSS!!!!!!!!! (louder than Phildia maybe, with back up from my class, fellow cohort and even my own students)*
First name on the 7D list. It was like a dream-came-to-life moment!! Was so so so so so so overjoyed!! Didn't bother to look at my results when I got it and just came down the stage although i was most likely still on cloud seven. Oh yeah. Jun Yi was the next name and the nest four of the 7 D list were also from 01. People say we are the best! Hee.. We rock.
And on the second page, Tham Zhen Hong Benjamin. along with Wenny and many others. 8 D, Mei Lien. along with 3 other scholars. Haha. Top 4, with 8 Ds, of Temasek Junior College were from Malaya (3) and India (1). What a sweet irony. But yes, the majority of the scholars did well which I am very happy over. All in 18 and the 01 (with minor exceptions) and econs students got their straight 4. Hall was a rather surreal place once the results were out. People were obviously happy, but mindful of the less fortunate. Lots of talking. Lots of faces. Just Lost. Talked to many poeple. Met JoJo but not Denise. Congrats to all and special mention must also go out to top sciencer Koh Chau Sean followed closely by Zhongshan and Bharat. Both from the same room lar.. IMBA M4-04. M4-06 also had our IMBAness when we were the only room with full attendance despite having an Indo, a Sabahan and a KL guy who needs to shop more than his results. Plus even the permanent residents and illegal immigrants of 4-06 were there too lar. M4-06 Rocks!!!
Left the hall and met Amanda and Aishah. Then met my students. So nice to see them. Had a mini group hug even. Haha. Pras and Jack Jack. Lol, talked with them quite a lot, walked around too. Too bad they didn't get to see their eye-candy. But then again, they had me! Haha, ok, Im not that perasan. Met many of my students later on, Yingen, Yumei, the 06s basically, Julie and 21s. Met Xue Wen adn Cai Yu and Selina too. Talked a lot. Was very high. Very happy. Elated.
Walked around rather aimlessly till tuition. Traded umbrellas with Riyanti and went off. Reached late but Benjamin was later. Haha. Talked with Mrs Quek abt my results before actually giving the tuition. I can't believe i've gone through 12 chapters of sec 2 maths in 4 days. Wow.. And then rushed off for Fish and Co. Glasshouse.
Waited forever and a day for 14 which never came so Phil and I cabbed down. MAJOR mistake. Firstly, the cab driver purposely drove slowly... Then, it was majorly jammed during peak hour. Then he tried to avoid telling us how long it will take to reach by talking blurly and murmuring. Hated the cab ride. It cost me slightly less than 15. So cheated. But oh well, it wasn't going to ruin my day!!
Reached Glasshouse just as 01 was leaving. Darn. Scholars were there though. I ordered Grilled Sambal Fish which was nice!! Yay! Txs for the recommendation Quen. Talked a lot with the scholars and talked even more. Stole Heri's fries and let him taste some good, non-oily, fish. Fish n Co. is always nice. Except the price. Oh well, it was a nice day. Had live music though I didn't like most of the singers cuz they ruined songs i actually liked. To those of you who heard me comment, those were really the very few secular songs i actually like. JY should know at least 1 of them from 14/02 dedication. But poeple go to fish and co for the people. Not the money. And there were 3 birthdays. Lame Fish n Co. cheer didn't help... But it was really nice catching up with all the scholars and others. So many places. Greats will certainly arise out of the few of us.
Then walked over to Cathay Cineplex for no reason. Wondered around and stood around while talking. Girls left first and then me, TK and Phil left while the rest went on wandering. Movie maybe? I dunno. Sean left to club first and took my phone along. Hope it comes back jz fine. It should lar... Unless he gets too drunk.
Waited 14 revolutions of the earth around the moon before 14 came. It was crowded but there were seats. I was so stoned out of tiredness I didn't notice Iman and Hafiz came on board. Oh well, they looked blissful together. Chatted until reached home. Talked with Phil and then surfed the net a bit.
Replied the many many people who msged me. Wanna specially thank 06 for their creative msg too. Sorry goes out to mommy. Didn't mean to let you worry. Really. Sorry.
Had a few replies come back in. Yumei, u need more sleep. Phildia too. Haha.

BIG THANKS TO JESUS, MY AWESOME GOD. WITHOUT YOU, NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE. SPECIAL TXS GOES TO YOU FOR YOUR WONDERFUL ANSWER TO MY F MATHS PRAYER. TRULY, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH YOU.
To my students, if you want to be inspired by me, don't be because of my grades, but be because there is a God out there who answered me when I cried out to Him for wisdom. When I was an average scholar who never touched A for FM, who's first GP grade was a C, whose Year 2 results were worse than year 1, He gave me what no tutor could. Hope. Love. Wisdom. Peace. Truly, without him, I would be in the pits of despair right now. But He is faithful, even when I wasn't. He was always by my side. He was my wisdom and I was dumb. My light when I couldn't see. My strength when I wanted to sleep. My conscience when I wanted to pon. My peace in times of fear. My security in times of doubt. My reason. Its You.Labels: A level results, Bharat, ChenYi, Fish and Co., God, Heri, Jac, Julie, Mei Lien, Phildia, Philip, Pras, Quen, Sam, Sean, Teik Kheng, Thammie, Yingen, Yumei, Zhongshan
