Saturday
Weekend is like the time of the week man!! THE time of the week. No need to wake up early for work. But with my new tuition in place, the alarms still ring. And if my handphone could speak, it would ask me to set it to a later time cuz I will jz snooze it for up to an hour! Oh well, away with AI and on with ... err.. no AI?
Anyways, I get up in time to rush off to Toa Payoh after being warned by Mei Yian not to fall into the 31 trap. Cuz its the eternity ride to Toa Payoh. So I took 196 (which arrived immediately) and then MRT-ed to Toa Payoh.
We "interrupt" this post to bring you the verse of the day from Mei Yian! Isaiah 41v10
Then I met Vincent almost immediately, and we set off for void-deck hunting. Wwe found a residents' corner but we didn't use it, not cuz we're not residents or are too young, haha, but cuz all the tables were wet. Jz the tables... weird man. Oh well.. Thank God for this block that we used. Hope i can find it again next week.
We counted the weeks and started on AC. By 12, we were done. Thank God once again for somehow letting me remember my entire AC without revising! Yaynesses.
Then headed back to .. Parkway? Not really back but I stopped at City Hall cuz I was lazy to change from red line to green, took a 14 to Parkway. Walked a lot and resisted the temptation to get an ice blended milo cuz i know it'll jz be ice, blended, and a teaspoon of milo anyway. No point freezing myself either cuz Roxy n Parkway are always so cold. The staffroom is aircon enough, plus my room. Now shopping and drinking... waa...
Oh ryte. Bought more instant noodles (which i already had 4 packets at home, dunno why i bought it), milk (Marigold, even if u didn't want to know), Oreos which are going for only $1.85! And my very own microwave oven safe plastic container. There you go, the complete Mr Wilson shopping list. But I wasn't done, bought myself a reload card, then lunch, then sweets for my beloved classes. Which actually mean long assignents are coming. The irony of being rewarded.
Note to self : eat lunch before shopping (why? go figure...)
Took 196 which is making a habit of coming instantly! 196 gets two Fruit Plus sweets for being so nice! Then slept.

Walked in to a walkway cooly (as in, the adjectively used form of "cool") decked with spotlights or floodlights.. yeah, those kind with pictures on the wall. Service today came with complementary race kits! Free number, safety pins, sweet, plaster and even H20 for the thirsty. Aand H20, I meant the drink, not water you cheapo... haaha, no lar, i thought it was gona be water too. But cool, H20. But the funny thing is the part i appreciated most of the race kit was the ziplock bag. The treasures of living alone. Man. Life is good.
Service was awesome with Aiken and an almost full band. Only missing an accoustic guitar. (and a DJ, and a choir, and percussion, and trumpets... and dancers and... yeah. Dream on?) Then we had the offering and then sharing by the ever awesome Rachael.
Sharing was on Fighting the fight, finishing the race and keeping the faith. DNA of YA invloved? Spiritual Tenacity which was superbly defined at dictionary.com as the quality of being tenacious. You don't say.... Yup, but it was a superb message. Point that blew me away (aka Rhema Word), what do you do with the reward you get (the crowns, which there are 5 apparently) from the race?

# The Week That Flew By
Tuesday
Tuesday was glorious. Firstly, it was a day with only ONE lesson. So that's awesome and cool. Even better, I get to crash two PW lessons to watch my classes try to pull a skit together. Exhibitionists jz seem to be rolling along jz fine. But the awesome, cool and glorious part comes after school.
Aunty Kaith is this person Ps Mark (awesome man!!) gave my contact to to (yes, its not a typo JY) be a tutor. And I got a call from her. While I was ironing clothes, but I was smart enough to turn the iron off before my shirts turned into new fashion statements. And we talked. Rather, it was sort of an interview. But the best and most fun one if I ever had one. And yeah, a meeting was set up at Plaza Singapura.
God is jz awesome. Mom wanted me to teach tuition and somehow by faith I guessed she knew God would pull through. And without ANY effort, I got my first student. No agency, no publicity, no strings attached... strings were even given away perhaps cuz im not doing this job for the money cuz the rate im charging, tutors would go broke. But, I thank God for literally providing me with my first student. Hope things turn out fine!
Ironed the rest of my clothes and went to bed rejoicing. :D
Wednesday
My day of double periods. It was not too bad, except GP quiz once again backfired. Note to self : STOP using transparencies for quizes. Gave 21 and 06 their first assignment of the day. However, discussions were interestin as I continued the Next Generation article's discussions. Finally they are talking back. Feels like a graveyard coming alive, minus the ghost n weird "ajaran sesat ppl" who live there. Slowly people coming out of the lifeless shell. Yup, 21 and 06 is coming alive. So much fun now, rather than e telling lame jokes the whole day. And the Evening Show with Mr Wilson has still been spared from its second episode.
Supposed to treat Mervin and Nicole to soya beans for guessing the note of the school bell. Apparently its some other guy who guessed it, not Mervin. Oh well, the cheapo here didn't treat anyone in the end cuz they were not around. Had some talk with other 04 ppl. Life is getting interesting for KI ppl as well.
Had staff conference. Jz one thing to point out, teachers have this scheme where is they work <15>14 years, its 700. How cool is that? Lemme tell you, a handphone is considered a personal productivity device. If the GP Dept gets their way, broadband access at home can fall into that category along with PDAs! If I got my way, I'd get the gun I was talking abt for PCs. Helps shut the council up during meetings when everyone is high or jz plain noisy. Think of it, how many times have u tried to get attention of ppl to give an announcement and failed? Jz with this PPD, all ur problems are solved. Plus, it can be used to threaten lazy ppl to hand in work too!
Yeah, then was GO GREEN DAY flier dist. I got to be with Beverly and Slyvia from 34. Funny, funky and happening people. Cuz we had Mdm Noraini from the G.O. with us who didn't want to walk so we took a cab!! (Waves to Zsa^2 as she screams in protest =) We reached there and thought we had it easy with th e postman being there with all the letterboxes open but he didn't allow us to put, so we went house by house. Then I ran out of fliers. Then I realised my big mistake. Should have jz spammed the mailboxes after he left cuz there was this small slit. Where did my two years of LEO ONC go and hide?? Oh well..
It got more fun as the video/promo crew arrived. Beverly and Sylvia were sabo-ed by their CT, Mrs Noordin to be a part of the video promo. Filming it was so hillarious as it was so kayu at first, ppl not getting the angles right, Beverly being a bimbo, and many other funny scenes which you could jz guess. And then Mdm Aini wanted to leave so I went with her on th eway out and she bought goreng pisang for us, which were like GM Bananas. They were huge!! And all the bimbos ate one, including me. Yes, I admit the bimboness for letting the crumbs spill all over..
I was a little late for my meeting with Aunty Kaith so i hurried to Bedok Interchange, MRT-ed to PS and met her at Yamaha. Met Vincent too, talked things over, got free dinner from Aunty Kaith whom I met for the first time who is not even in hte same church as me. So sweet! Gave me this awesome book to read even. Im in chapter 1 part 2 i think. Yup, then headed back home and slept.
Thursday
My only one period at 3pm day. Had a very tough time marking the assignments. Cuz of all the 1/2 and 1 marks to decide on. Mostly failed but there were a few passes. So far two out of three GP reps passed i think, or all passed. Quite a good start, but wanna give a huge, enormous round of applause to Joanne of CG 06/07 for scoring FULL MARKS!!!! I was blown away.... like..
All the way to the chem dept blown away... And got some stickers from Jocelyn. See, Most Caring RT Award truly belongs to her. I wanted to give one, but JOcelyn insisted on two. But Joanne, u totally deserved it! Totally totally cool. Yeah. *hops around*
Hops to LT4 for SCIP elections. I lose a "bet" (which was on nothing) that the SCIP elections would start at 4.50 but he won when it started at 5.15 due to delays. It started about 3/4 of an eternity after its actual starting time of 4.30. Quote of the day to Evelyn from me, "You need a gag". Yeah, Evelyn and I go wayyyyy back. As far back as Mei Hui in JB. Hahaha, jz literally far lar, not figuratively. Anyway, glad u got the sex-cretary post u wanted although Ms N was so scary. Happy that the ppl I liked got the posts. My grand junior, Michael from SJI. All the way!! Perhaps we shall meet again Evelyn, if u dun run back to JB as often as Mei Hui!
Then went to meet Benjamin Ong whos on work training by HP in Singapore. Very nice to have the chance, but then again, being the blur Malaysian I am, I took the wrong exit at Orchard MRT and took almost half an hour to reach Lucky Plaza. Sorry Ben. Met his friends. Not too nice people on their personality so ask Ben abt them ya? Ben treated me MOS burger!! Yaynesses!! Second dinner treat in two days. Kind of a nice reward for doing QT every morning. Txs God! Got my socks and a nice talk with Ben. Had a mini econs lesson too about Malaysia's emerging economy.
Went back on a 16. Stopped at VJ instead of VS. Walked all the way home... Sad, but still rejoicing on the inside. God is truly good! Hope God grants miracles to 06 for their skit too. Patchy, but falling into place.
Friday
One word : BUSY. First four periods were lessons. 06 exhibition ppl were so bored. Sorry Yumei, Sek Hui and Dao En. 21 ppl, well, skit falling in place. I really thank God for Zsa^2 who is pulling it together and everyone who listens to her. Also to those who did the blogs, awesome stuff.
Next was some quick marking then Dao Kang came for lunch. I was late. Sorry ya DK. Ate my "dinner" meal. Then DK crashed TJ for a bit. Then I had to quickly finish my marking, Completed all and tabled all the results. Passes here and there, but hope to see greater things!
Went to meet Jean at City Hall. Walked the bottom of Raffles City. With weird shops selling extremely ex stuff. Walked to and through all six floors of Funan till we almost died.. And founf, in Jean's favourite adjective, fugly stuff. We established criteria no. 1 for all laptop bags/cases, it must have handles. If not, reject it no matter how cool it looked. So with this rule, we looked through many fugly bags and finally gave up cuz they were too ex anyway. Waited for 20mins for 14. It came and we "epitomised the idiom 'packed as sardines' " according to Jean. Yup. was a tiring ride. Taught Jean to bluetooth messages but she had more fun sleeping on the way back
Reached the stop and waited for 12. Thank God I didn;t miss it cuz the non-double decker one came. I raced to the hawker center, ordered my "dinner" raced once again to TJ. Reached Audi at 7.30 when i was supposed to be there at 7.00. Great. I opened the door and expected at most 50 parents, but there was like slightly less than a 2nd O crowd! It was scary. I did shiver and was scared but God must have calmed me down when I finally started my speech at 8.20, a quarter of an eternity away from the actual time of 7.40. Gave my speech, but ALL credit goes to God who must have helped me so much. Cuz Ms Ying didn't think anything spectacular of it, netiher did Ms Faye Tan who vetted it a second time nor Mrs Lim who saw it for clarification, but it went on very well and I've been invited to speak to the Year 1 and 2 cohorts to spur them on!
Talked to some parents then rushed off to church. Rachael was having her powerfully wonderful sessions today. Although it looked like P1 art class with all the drawings, it was a meaningful reflection on our past, present, and (this is the best) our hoped for future and our most feared future. And founf, in Jean's favourite adjective, fugly stuff. We established criteria no. 1 for all laptop bags/cases, it must have handles. If not, reject it no matter how cool it looked. So with this rule, we looked through many fugly bags and finally gave up cuz they were too ex anyway. Waited for 20mins for 14. It came and we "epitomised the idiom 'packed as sardines' " according to Jean. Yup. was a tiring ride. Taught Jean to bluetooth messages but she had more fun sleeping on the way back
Reached the stop and waited for 12. Thank God I didn;t miss it cuz the non-double decker one came. I raced to the hawker center, ordered my "dinner" raced once again to TJ. Reached Audi at 7.30 when i was supposed to be there at 7.00. Great. I opened the door and expected at most 50 parents, but there was like slightly less than a 2nd O crowd! It was scary. I did shiver and was scared but God must have calmed me down when I finally started my speech at 8.20, a quarter of an eternity away from the actual time of 7.40. Gave my speech, but ALL credit goes to God who must have helped me so much. Cuz Ms Ying didn't think anything spectacular of it, netiher did Ms Faye Tan who vetted it a second time nor Mrs Lim who saw it for clarification, but it went on very well and I've been invited to speak to the Year 1 and 2 cohorts to spur them on!
Talked to some parents then rushed off to church. Rachael was having her powerfully wonderful sessions today. Although it looked like P1 art class with all the drawings, it was a meaningful reflection on our past, present, and (this is the best) our hoped for future and our most feared future. # Sunday (= + 0.5 MOnday
Its Sunday. Its the best day of the week. Apart from the fact that work will come, Sunday means I get to relax, go to church, meet cell mates (sounds like prison, haha), and basically have a great time! Yup! This Sunday was nice too as I got to go to church with Ms Jayne, who's now tutoring at Ngee Ann Primary. I think. Jean, bet u want the job too eh? Yup. Reached a little late cuz pre-service prayer was on already on the way by Shaun. Slipped in beside FX. MeiYian slipped beside me. Then I slipped beside James. N FX slipped over to MY. So finally it was (from left) MY, FX, ME, James, Gabriel.
Yup, and the praise and worship was good! Awesome even! Yay! Hope You liked it God! And then it was handing out certs ceremony for the water baptism people. Quite funny hearing some of the names but it was mostly youth with some adults. Then came the next part of the service, the sermon...... it was by none other than..... *drumrolls* PS MARK!!! Yay!! I initated a standing ovation which I think Michelle didn't agree with, but oh well, it went anyway. Yup, the title of this weeks sermon was Dig Deep, Build High.
Emmanuel wants to grow by 20% this year. Thats 200 more souls saved. For YA, thats a meagre 8 person increase. Yup. So I think its so achievable. But its gonna take some deep digging! Yup, it was a great sermon abt how we need to love the Word of God, which is actually Jesus Himself. Cool eh? It says so in Revelation 19v13. Ps Mark also said that the Bible is the written Word of God while Jesus is the personal Word of God. And also, those DO NOT PRACTISE the Word of God is like the foolish man who built his house upon the sand. Yup. That was the basic word for the day and we were challenged to put it into practice, which we did, but later on that.
After that, we had cell time and Grace Chan (above average, haha) joined us. She is super smart. She will have to "settle" for Oxford if Yale or Princeton doesn't want her.. Im like, pls NUS? PLS?? And for the first time, she joined us for lunch. Yay! And you're fun to have around so come join us more often k? She apparently has something for the RJ library cuz she got so excited her chair toppled into the longkang (one of the legs) and she slipped down. Hope I didn;t hurt u when i tried to catch you. We were at beer garden once again and Gabriel's $4 fried rice took half an eternity to come that even FX *gasp* had finished her food. Then we went to NTUC and Grace almost bought some choc but her dad came first. So chocs have to wait for next week I guess. But that didn't stop FX from getting her hands on some. MY too. Oh man... these eaters!! Then they got milk and we headed back to Emmanuel for Bible Study
Bible study turned out to be... lots of turnings. We had lots of discussions and we totally sidetracked from the MRT. Talked abt Sara, tongues, and the sermon for the day. And we came up with a little accountability system. Here's how the prototype works. I take Mondays and Thurdays. FangXian takes Tuesdays and Fridays and MeiYian takes Wednesdays and Saturdays. Sunday is our day of rest. We must each msg each other a Bible verse for the day to meditate on, and as a reminder to do QT. For me its 6.45am, for FX n MY, 9am. And if the msg does not come on... its accountability time. Yup. Quite exciting to see how it goes!
After Bible study, we decided to take a stroll to see my house. Stopped by to buy dynamo and some tidbits. I told u they can really eat!! Got my stuff but left my soya beans at the dynamo shop. Went to church to look for it and found it in the shop and they were still at SPC paying the stuff. Got the Dynamo and now I can say goodbye to using aunty's and welcome to sharing with me! They came up to my room. We talked a bit more and visited yours truly's blog and then MY had to leave so we all left. Took a walk till beer garden and bought my dinner. Txs for the money ya MY n FX. Here they are seen leaving my block
Then I met Ms Jayne for the second time. She was shopping with her mom. And she had this HUMONGOUS Where's Wally book which is super hard to find Wally and friends.. and dog's tail.. and a key! Then i got ride back (yay) and ate my dinner, did QT. Hee. Then slept. The end of Sunday

I woke up in time for QT. Got Mei Yian and FangXian the sms. Then headed off to school. Thank God for the great research I found. And had a good class. Except I overran time again. But all in all good. Getting to know more people. I now know Shaun, Yi Ning, Eve, Kathleen, Shermin Teck Ian, He Jun by face. Hehe, not bad ryte.
PW was also ok. Except i think Zsa^2 is overworked. Kudos to my GP rep (Zsa^2) for not reading the compre at all but still pulling the skit team together. Dun stress so much k. Aand the exhibit group seems to be doing fine. Skit... skit.. how... so little time left. Jz make sure u guys make a scene ok? And a good one at that too!
Had an interesting talk w Mrs Noordin. If you want to save endangered species, EAT THEM. Then when there's demand, there will be supply. Interesting? Then went off to scroom. Realised we need to give all PCs a gun to silence people during meetings. Sorry I didn't get u one ah xiu. Yup, sounded like council room. Saw three bimbo's in action and hope Temasek Idol will be a blast. Jia You ppl! Find more pics too k? Hehe.

Saturday @ Changi + Tampines
Day started off like usual. Me waking up with the sun already calling a dozen times. But a little suprise was i woke up to Jeremy calling. A mission was at hand. Surprise (yes, that's how its supposed to be spelled FX) FX at Changi. Agents involved. Me. MY. Jeremy. Mission details : Reach Changi. Find FX. Surprise FX. Bring her to Fusion. So I finally drag myself out of bed and rush off to Changi. Not too bad actually cuz I reached Changi jz on the dot of 2.30. Here is the mission debrief.
1430 Hours
Arrived at target location. Contact with J established. Apparently J jz arrived as well. Contact with other agency agents detected. Names : Steffi Bond, Miss Yew(nose) and various other civilians being recruited into the agency (SCIP recruitment programme was having its outdoor training of recruits). Method of outdoor training was identified as an "Amazing Race". Suspicious activity was detected and profiled.
1445 Hours
Took a detour from the mission and decided to pig out n have lunch instead at BK. Target had to wait as lunch was more important on the agenda. Expenses incurred on mission thus far = A LOT for transport and A LOT for a BK Chicken Meal @ $6.45. J had 10 cheesesticks too. Contact with MY was established at this point but lost soon after she headed out for a recon mission to locate our target. Midway into my wonderful meal, contact with MY was reestablished. To my horror, other agents (Steffi Bond and MissYew) have discovered my location. These agents were spotted carrying a transporting device. Recruits were in for trouble. A small problem though as they squeezed. Here is a photo-documentation of the incident

Quest for FX takes priority once again. MY sprung the idea of getting FX a package. The first corporation we visited to acquire the package did not have the required items. They however did possess valueble information on the location of our target. MY bribed the info out of them (she bought some jellybeans from the store =) and we were on our way to our destination
1510 Hours
Quest for FX no longer takes priority as we continue the hunt for the package. Two corporations seize our attention offering varying deals. Cocoa Trees or Bengawan Solo? After much deliberation (and walking in and out of the shops multiple times) we agree on our package. 6 items in a plastic bag. Two from each agent. The package was sealed and we darted (took a slow walk cuz we still didn't know where FX works) off to our target location.
1530 Hours
We reach the destination but even with all our focused (haha) effort, FX seemed to have been able to slip away to a hideout location. We purge (with a sweet smile from MY) the location of the hideout from the only worker at the shop and were on our way to acquire our target. Aft following the directions given, we reach the hideout of workers on the third floor through a secret back door. We scanned the area and acquired the location of FX, however, she was not alone. We chose not to engage but to go into stealth mode
1540 Hours
With 20 minutes before FX returns, the agents decide to ... chill out at macs. J gets a double cheese n water while the rest chill with MY's JellyBeans. After getting frozen, we decide to stop chilling and go to our secret hideout at Times New Link to lie in wait for FX. After minutes of careful surveillance (and lots og mag reading by MY) FX is seen returning with her accomplice.
1600 Hours
Location of target is confirmed at C.E.D.S. We slowly sneak up (haha) to FX but she somehow manages to slip away again into the employees room. Wwe threaten the other employees not to say a word (which they willingly did) but FX was already alerted to our presence by a man who did not keep his word to keep our meeting a secret. However, being the Aunty Fang she is, she had no idea we were there and when she finally came out, we said "SUrPRISE!!". And truly she was truly shocked with a red tint on her face. Handed her the package and we were on our way.
Mission, Accomplished.
OK, that was my lame attempt at story telling for a few hours of Saturday. Met the remaining SCIP Agency members on the train to Tampines. Got my "scar" from Aaron first before YingXiu decided to be artistic and added a heart shape to it. Which required some touch ups, but still didn't look like much. We (MY, J, FX and I) reached TP and then got directions to go to Victory Something Place.. Yup, met other CFC ppl at the bus interchange. Got onto the crowded bus and it rained. Reached the bus stop, got off, took off our umbrella and braved the downpour, except Jeremy who ran into it with the protection of a ... cap?
He got really drenched, ok, not drenched but much more wet than the rest of us and we arrived a little too late. Actually on time, but Jeremy had to dry himself so we were a little late and sat upstairs with Hosea. Wasn't too nice a view from the upper gallery cuz of the metal railing which was jz in the way. The down side of being too tall. =(
Fusion started with some games, the girls-must-separate-the-guys game and the leap of faith where they got guy to jump over 9 guys by running and hopping onto a trampoline and landing on (ideally) the mattresses. But at least 2 guys were hurt in the process. Ouch. But two winners emerged from CFC, Isaac n Sunny.
The praise session started a little jerkily for me but it was good, almost lost my voice by the end of the session. Then had a time for offering and the "Pimp my Pastor" ad/video. Then the praise and worship session continued, with the worship. Yup. It was split into two. Dunno why though. Then we had the Word from Ps Chris Long who spoke on Obed Edom. The guy who looked after the Ark of the Covenant and how having the presence of God blessed him and his family greatly. Yup, had the usual jokes and all. But MeiYian didn't like it too much though. Oh well, the ending was good though.
Had an altar call and i think everyone responded, although we obviously couldn't fit everyone in the front but we jz crowded as much as we could. It was a great service overall. You so should have been there. And then we were dismissed but CFC stayed around for quite a while, then Roland and Ps Mark got us to leave. Then we stood ard outside for quite a while. MeiYian saw her VJ friend, talked a bit and we finally concluded defeat when most ppl realized MY had hair extensions done. Only me, Jeremy and Ps Mark didn't notice. Gabriel, Jeremy and I went for a Macs dinner, my second fastfood meal in SG. And then we took 10 home. Yup, then I decided to post the previous post. This post was cuz Jia Yi, u wanted the daily update ryte? Hehe, no lar, cuz I also wanna blog abt it. Kenneth, coming at you again soon.

# A God Who Hides Himself
This is one of the first posts not realated to a specific day. Jz the first of my thoughts and happenings over the past few days. Friday, music prac day, was once again an awesome time of sharing by the wonderful Rachael. Hope you read the Straits Times today cuz its abt your job. But then again, you don't know this blog exists. But for those who do, thanks for still reading it n tagging my board with anything random. Aand the past few days have been awesome for me. Life has been bursting with life. Not the kind of life with lots of things to do and having fun kind of "life", but its a deeper feeling of having my spirit and soul nourished. Something to feed that deep longing in my heart, a sense of purposeful accomplishment. You know, rather than just accomplishing mundane everyday things. I feel that my life has touched a little on the "abundant life" that Jesus promised.
So how did this abundant life thing come about? Well, lets say it started with an awesome musicians sharing last Friday. One verse, had a Rhema-like property to it. Colossians 5v23-24.
23Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men,
24since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
This verse has so much power in it. It gives me a reason to go to school everyday. More than jz the $52 paycheck, more than seeing friends, more than teaching classes. It is the Lord Christ I am serving. Imagine that. Everyday, a chance to serve the creator of this universe. And more than just wanting to serve Him, it tells me to do it with all my heart. Which means, nothing second best. Aa lifestyle of worship unto God, a reason to rejoice in every situation, a chance for me to make a difference. In everything I do, home, school, church, it spurs me on to do my best. Not only that, it speaks of promise and hope. An eternal one, that this is not just some passing fad or jz hype, but it says that there will be an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. And from what I think, an inheritance is something so valueble, its something you are entitled to, not like a hope of something good, but an eternal reward which will one day be mine. Yayness! Aand this add so much more "life" into everyday.
This brings having an excellent spirit to a whole new level. Not being content at where I am but pushing on for more. Cuz we are called to work at it with all our heart cuz truly, its not MOE im working for, its not jz year1s im teaching, but its all for Him, who deserves only the very best. Although it won't be easy giving 100% everday, and I don't think im there yet, but its that drive that has given 2007 a taste of His abundant life for me! Like the issue of not gossiping which the musicians shared abt. How we should be working at everything with all our hearts, which includes school. And how we should be excellent students n not make fun of teachers. How teachers should be excellent as well. Its hard, but its worth trying to reach!
Then again, this Friday's message was again by the awesome Rachael. And it was not any easier than last week's to take in, but nonetheless impactful and important. It was on surrender.
What is Christianity today to me? Is it jz taking the nice parts but leaving the hard ones out. Is it still the religion Christ taught? What standards apply to me? The whole counsel of God or just what I like? The music, the words, the time spent. Is it reflective of what Christ would want. Here's the verse, Romans 8v5-11
5Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6The mind of sinful man[e] is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; 7the sinful mind[f] is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so. 8Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.
9You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. This might seem familiar to most, but how many of us truly accept what it says. For me, just reflecting on my desires. What do I want in life. Honestly, my first thought would be for 2007 to be a year I draw closer to God. Then other desires came in like having good friends and getting into Uni. To be stable financially also came into mind, to be sure of the right one, so many things i want in my life. Then came the truth, what does the Spirit desire? It wasn't so much of me having wrong/evil desires that struck me, but rather the desires that didn't cross my mind. Where was having compassion for the lost, a servant attitude, purity, sanctification, humility, building up God's kingdom. So many desires for Him were obviously missing, and I reflected if I'm a real "Christian". Have I jz taken Christianity for all the easy parts of life and never gone the full measure of letting Jesus be Lord over my life and not merely Saviour. Cuz if my mind wasn't filled with the Spirit's desire, it had to be filled with parts of the sinful nature which leads to death. And hence how the Abundant Life is now much more relevant to me.
Verse 6. The mind of the sinful mind is death. It never occured to me that getting everything I wanted in life wouldn't be life at all but death. Cuz only a mind filled with the Spirit will bring not only life but peace as well. I guess thats why so many people are depressed nowadays. Cuz they never seem to get what they want. Even if they do, they are rotting with death on the inside. And the only way was to surrender our lives to a God who knows whats best for us, even when we don't agree. And that's when things can a take a turn for the worst cuz in Isaiah 45v9, it says Woe to you who quarrels with his Maker. When God brings the hard times, and we quarrel with God, its a recipe for disaster. I mean i haven't reached the "Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice" level in life, but Im learning to trust that (Isaiah 45v11), God knows what He is making/doing. I mean, its so ridiculous for the pot to say to the Maker, You have no hands (v11 too I think). Like come on, take a look at yourself, does a pot have hands, can we change the universe? I mean, He knows like, everything there is to know, yet I won't trust that he wants what best for me.
Then came the next pretty weird part. Isaiah 45v15. Truly you are a God who hides Himself. Wow... totally comforting when my life is in turmoil?... A God who hides himself.. just what I need... But actually, yeah, thats what I need. I mean, if God was always there and helps me in everything, I would jz take Him for granted. It would be like, God please give me one more hour to sleep and ta daa, I get it. And life goes on like how I want it to, not according to His will, leading to a slow death of life in me. It takes effort to find God, and it says God is a rewarder of those who earnestly seek Him. So since God hides himself, I have to seek Him. When I do, He gets a chance to reward me for my efforts as well. That's a pretty good deal I guess? And it also means that when things are bad, dun stop looking to Him for answers. Especially when things are bad, God has something good in store for us. So for me, its time to really take on real Christianity and 2007 has been a great time so far, with a little taste of true Abundant Life.
Today was Fusion Rally. Suprised FX at C.E.D.S and met some councillors, who generously added lipstick to me. Headed down to Victory something Church, or not church, but something. Ya. Had fun there, with the Leap of Faith game which saw some casualties. Congrats to Isaac though for not hurting too many people n getting free Synerg!z tickets. Sunny too! And the worship was awesome though i felt the praise session was a little off... But the band was technically good, maybe jz the sound system was a little bad for the upper gallery. But it was really good. Song of the day, The Stand. Pre-Chorus.

Ps Chris Long shared a powerful sermon on Obed-Edom, not a disease of some sort (means servant in the wilderness) but the man who kept the Ark of the Covenant. How longing for God will grant you blessing. Carrying His presence is all you need to have a wonderful happy life. It was from 1 Chronicles 13v12. Yup. Awesome how jz having God with me can mean so much more than anything in the world. Having all I need, having the blessings. Above all, a more personal relationship with a God who cares s much for me.
I've found the reason to live. The reason to start 2007 for You. That reason is You.
So how did this abundant life thing come about? Well, lets say it started with an awesome musicians sharing last Friday. One verse, had a Rhema-like property to it. Colossians 5v23-24.
23Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men,
24since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
This verse has so much power in it. It gives me a reason to go to school everyday. More than jz the $52 paycheck, more than seeing friends, more than teaching classes. It is the Lord Christ I am serving. Imagine that. Everyday, a chance to serve the creator of this universe. And more than just wanting to serve Him, it tells me to do it with all my heart. Which means, nothing second best. Aa lifestyle of worship unto God, a reason to rejoice in every situation, a chance for me to make a difference. In everything I do, home, school, church, it spurs me on to do my best. Not only that, it speaks of promise and hope. # Two To The Collection
A Wednesday @ Work
Today was crunch day for my GP lessons as i had two doubles with a 30 minute break in between. This time it was 21's turn to get myfirst experiment at a GP double. Did the 2006 quiz which got some of the sleeping people to wake up to a whole world, the size of... many many many many many many many.... many many many... (u get the idea ryte?) many many many many... ( =) many Singapores. And then had the 5Cs done with the Wheel in the GP Journal. By now, 21 was the only class without an appointed GP rep. sad eh. But there is a happy ending so hang in there. And i would say it went smoother cuz this time the projector worked unlike my intro lesson to 04 which i couldn't get it to work so I had to carry this laptop around the class. Amazingly sad. I know. But at least this went fine. Im getting the hang of the different set ups of classes in TJ by now. Rushed the ending of the 5Cs, with one C to go. And jz FYI, the 5Cs here are Choices, Cheek, Consumers, Connectivity and Causes and not the Cash, Car, Condo, Credit card and Club/Career. Then had a short break n repeated for 06. At least 06 i managed my time slightly better n finished the 5Cs. So if u see me not ending lessons on time, u're most likely the Guinea Pig class... or (spoiler ahead) u're my last-lesson-on-a-friday-class. Countermeasures will be put in place to prevent that from happening. Why will it work? Cuz the countermeasure is to jz... sleep more!! Yay!!
Had my first staff meeting which I went to after some RTs had lunch at Katong. Katong Laksa. $3. Wouldn't do it again. Jocelyn didn't join us though and she gets the Most Caring RT Award for giving a remedial within the first week of lessons during her lunch time *Applause*. Yup, Mr Eugene comes in second by wanting to give remedials. Too bad his help wasn't appreciated. Staff meeting was ok with some funny moments. Had basic briefings abt the school and all. Saw the budget TJ has for the year but I shan't disclose anything for the fear of ending up behind bars. N not the chocolate kind which FX, Mei Yian n I shared on the way to Bugis. That was a big yummy Cadbury Marble Choc bar. Psst, they can really eat!
Then I went to crash the SCIP interviews. Okay, not the interviews, but rather be the extra who sat outside. Then after it was all over, went into the room to hear some discussions. And a spoiler for the SCIP camp in 7 hours, I saw the X-Poh, Yew-nose and Bed-OK pictures being taken. And had the Ms Yew moment of my life when she tip-toed to watch soccer guys. Gave her a stool to stand on. Aand its a long story. Ask Cheryl or Me and we'll tell you what happened k? And Ms Yew, I really felt bad for throwing Di Hui (the soft toy lar) at your face. Sorry sorry! Yup. It was a memorable moment in the Leadership Centre. N btw, sorry goes out to Claire as well for teaching her "wrong" physics abt power n resistance.
Had "dinner" with the SC n went home. Nice Wednesday

Lemme get straight to the point. Thursdays are not what I look forward too. My timetable only has ONE gp lesson. AT 3.00PM!!! but i have to be in sch at 7.25. so its a 7.5 hour wait. N thats what I did. Crashed a pw at 2.10 for 06 and they have some serious issues abt pre-marital sex. Cuz that's all they can think abt when it came to celebrity culture. Btw, 04 is doing Online Successes and the New Generation of Technoprenuers. 21 has Clubbing and Teenage Alcoholism. Check them out at 04, 06 and 21 respectively.
So aft the long wait with all the time in the world. I step into my major mistake of 2007. I walk into a class of 9 people. The rest had KI and I was left with no lesson. English wasn't gonna happen. So the next 40 minutes had the Pilot episode of the Evening Show with Mr Wilson as I talked with them till I ran out of ideas n sent them off for early PE. That was a really bad mistake. Never assume ur students will be there for ur lesson. Council lesson which I am still learning. Crashed SCIP once again, but talked more with the SC. Helped Caroline with vectors. Had dinner. Jess, dun stress k? U can do it. Talked abt SC n stepping down. Hillarious. Mass dance test with fun dance. Plain hillarious.
Reached home, did my ironing. Was faster this time n got to sleep. Before all that, I got blessed with a second dinner too with aunty buying food for uncle. Had extra so the extra ate the extra, but there were still some extras, so aunty n her daughter finished the extras. Lesson : dun use the same word too many times in an essay, use a thesaurus. Yup. Friday was coming

It came. But by now, we had already set up a memorial for dear Denise. And here is the picture of the site (ignore giant snake trying to devour it). Yup, that's ur hair pin Denise. Claim it at results day ya
So that was it. Had a long Friday, and 04 suffered from my tired Friday syndrome as I forgot abt the 2006 affairs quiz n had to rush the 5Cs. I must hold the record for fastest 5Cs lesson. 20 minutes. Wow, but nothing to be proud of. And the happy ending for 21 is that Zsa^2 was elected the GP rep, joining Anantha and Prasanthi. And all in all, the English Fair seemed to be rolling along. The next part of the day was the good part. The wonderful Emmanuel Music Prac was on! N although it started at 8, instead of 7.30, it was good. So this is it for an ardous long post. Txs for staying tuned. Emmanuel's Music Team is up next!

# Coupled with a Wonderful Week
Monday
First day of real lessons. Can't say i slept soundly thinking of meeting two classes in a day, 06 n 21. Yup, reached school on time (as always.. haha) and sat in the staffroom. Became more n more nervous as the hour (10.00 am) approached. Yup, even had a little panic attack with my splurting out words at bullet speed and being all messed up. But thank God that all cleared and off I went to 101 (my old civics venue.. aww) for my first lesson. Ok, here's the special bonus for those of u who read my blog. I didn't go to 101, in all the panic, I actually went to 135. No idea why and a good thing i went abt 10 minutes early so I could set up stuff, find out im wrong, leave the wrong room and walk halfway across the school and be on time at 101. Yup. Silly panic attack. Haih... so sad for first lesson ryte. Anyway, did a lame powerpoint presentation on GP n how it's done in TJ and came back to the staffroom. Thought I did ok with the first lesson although I ran out of time. Aaron on the other hand had too much of it. Oh well, in no time it was 11.40 n time to meet 21. It was not too bad, but I realised I did more of the talking here n they were like little kids listening to me driving along the GP Expressway. Silently I bet 21 was screaming "ARE WE THERE YET?" But it was a good first experience. The day dwindled away as I did the SC Room slacking thing, not sure if it rained, think it did, but anyway, nothing much of particular interest happened. So lets end Monday.

Yup, there will be photos to go along with this day so do stay tuned. Tuesday was also Ms Fernandez's last day as a tutor here. Below is a picture of her with someone she could be suited to marry cuz they have so much in common. Apparently the guy on the right (that HAS to be the guy ryte) is (in the words of Denise) "The stupidest smart guy I know" and "oily" as well. So here he is (with my own scribblings)

No idea why and a good thing i went abt 10 minutes early so I could set up stuff, find out im wrong, leave the wrong room and walk halfway across the school and be on time at 101. Yup. Silly panic attack. Haih... so sad for first lesson ryte. Anyway, did a lame powerpoint presentation on GP n how it's done in TJ and came back to the staffroom. Thought I did ok with the first lesson although I ran out of time. Aaron on the other hand had too much of it. Oh well, in no time it was 11.40 n time to meet 21. It was not too bad, but I realised I did more of the talking here n they were like little kids listening to me driving along the GP Expressway. Silently I bet 21 was screaming "ARE WE THERE YET?" But it was a good first experience. The day dwindled away as I did the SC Room slacking thing, not sure if it rained, think it did, but anyway, nothing much of particular interest happened. So lets end Monday.
Tuesday
Yup, there will be photos to go along with this day so do stay tuned. Tuesday was also Ms Fernandez's last day as a tutor here. Below is a picture of her with someone she could be suited to marry cuz they have so much in common. Apparently the guy on the right (that HAS to be the guy ryte) is (in the words of Denise) "The stupidest smart guy I know" and "oily" as well. So here he is (with my own scribblings)

Okay, this photo was taken in the jungles of the chem dept. So if u see my nick with the suffix of @chemdept, thisis where I will be. N I also took the trouble of getting an up close n personal shot of the $1.90 IKEA predator that Mr Eugene had bought.
And how do you know it belongs to Mr Eugene? Cuz the other chem tutor, Ms Chan is hiding in fear of it. Here's the proof. Go figure what the photo is showing. If u can't, stare a while longer k?
Yup, these are just some exclusive insights u get from the jungles of the chem dept where a tribe of RTs are frequently spotted by other members of staff. Usually noise n laughter can be heard coming from deep within this thick forest.
Okay, back to TJ. I had two PW lessons to oversee and Ms Kwan and I took 04. Ms Kwan is such a good teacher, and i think in this lesson, I learnt a good way to get to know the students. Using the Ms Kwan's Apocalypse Cards method. Yup, get them to write sutff abt themselves n ZO Cards and... keep the cards thereafter. Smart eh? Then it was 21's PW with Ms Cheryl. It was their second PW and txs to Zsa^2, their skit moulded into a recognisable object. And their exihibition seemed on track with a survey coming along. The usual slacking ensued and I retired after dinner. Dinner is now defined as fried rice with chicken from Wong's Porridge.

# A Wonderful Week(end)!
Its been a while since i've blogged. Yes for this blog that is still a baby, not getting attention for the past week, its like crying for attention, so here I am to update everyone
And Sunday came along happily. Church was nice. Yup, and Grace joined us for cell. Good work to Mei Yian for getting her to come through your "persuasive" skills. Nice to have had u for cell. Really do hope to see more of u around (= And then, aft that, Mei Yian and FX wanted to head down to Bugis to get some shopping done. Well, actually jz FX who had to buy shoes for Monday work, but Mei Yian had other plans as well. Moving along, we combed TopShop and realised there was more of Annabelle (not sure how its spelled, give me a tag if u know ya?) all over rather than a FangXian so after much searching, we moved on to other parts of bugis. And as ALL (a shamelessly sweeping statement by a gp tutor) girls do, they shop for a LONG time. Yup, we scoured almost every inch of the mall from Seiyu to EDGE in the search of that one shoe. But along the way, Mei Yian found a bad and a jeans type pants/shorts or something. And a cell identity as well. As for Gabriel, our beloved cell leader, he gets the best badge of all! Mine says "In thy name shall they rejoice all the day" Psalm 89:16. Yup, and we continued shopping. FX almost settled for one of these (although a certain green heel from X:dous seemed to be screaming out for her to be rescued)
And of course notice that she even tried both the gold and black pair at one go. FX scores full marks for efficiency here =). N yes, thats her shoe beside the black one. And since im not too good at HTML and get my posts' spacing all over the plcae, i shall post this first n then go on to the weekdays
Saturday
I'll jz fast forward to the highlight of the day cuz I have a LOT to blog abt and so little time. YA service with an awesome bunch of YA ppl. Not to mention a new friend who I later found out was from TKGS n knows Jocelyn too. But anyway, back to the service. Gabriel and Spirit Fingers led an awesome praise and worship! Then it was Isaac with announcements and then we had Roland who shared an awesome word abt Desiring God and Sanctification. Well, sort of before that actually, more of how our heart desires (what we ourselves naturally want) and our mind desire (things we know that is right from knowing God n His word) must be aligned in order for us to be sanctified and to stay that way. N if we don't we basically can't be used by God in a powerful way. N during the altar call, Ps Mark had a strong word for us concerning building up the body of Christ by not gossiping abt others. N it sort of backed up what Rachael said during music prac. Yup, it was a very memorable service.

# First Friday @ Work
Another TJcian Day, 12 January 2007
Morning came, and for TJ, so did I. Second day seemed like any other. Did not hear the bell ring (but Jocelyn did) and almost missed assembly. I blinked to the assembly ground while the other RTs waited for me outside the door. So thoughtful of them but they didn't expect my super lightning speed and I already arrived at the assembly area while they were still waiting for me. Too bad it wasn't put to good use as the clouds leaked and TJCians flowed out of the assembly area. Then the RTs signed in, except me who still didn't exist in the staff records and we headed for breakfast. Aa very long breakfast at that with an econs summit taking place on my left while, conversations were sung by various artists on my right from various albums. I had my Ham n Cheese although i thought it was rather racist that the buns were burnt-coloured. Not fair, but still tasted good so Im cool. Then I headed back to my (or Mr Tong's) desk and soon Jonathan informed me of an impromptu meeting with Ms Ng who gave us a lesson in the finer arts of class teaching and a lense adjustment so we were focused in the right direction for monday's lessons. Then I went back to my seat, which has a "freezing plate" (like the one they teach in food chem, except this freezes my butt not fish fingers or other foodstuff) on it. Lemme give u a better view of a thousand words...
And let me give u a better picture of where I am at my place of work. On my right is my Malay teacher Cikgu Elina whose class I will enter to motivate them to study Malay. And if there like really N2 and all, Cikgu hopes to get them to take up Sastera Melayu, cool eh? And in front of me is Cikgu Azyanti who's another Malay teacher. So the population of Malay speaking teachers is like a 1m radius about me! Then beside me is the as Mr Chung put it "petite" Siok Khoon although were separated by the great wall of the non-working cockpit pc! Then behind me is a teacher. I'll leave it at that. Oh he's a guy too.. but beyond that, I dunno. Never said hi to me, but neither have I so we're even i guess. Time for another thousand words! Yay!
And also, Mr. Tong's special place comes complete with the GP Department Library! Cool eh?
Yups. Thats a little on the landscape of the new planet I reside in. My getaway island will be featured soon. Jz take a good guess where that might be lar k? There is a hint in this post btw
Anyways, after school, I go to scroom to do my research cuz i couldn't tahan being in the staffroom any longer, was so falling asleep! So got in there n SCIP meeting was going on. If any SC interns read this, know that ur seniors are really excited and N2 abt this project. In what way? For you to find out. Join SCIP! Oh wait, booth close already.. Hehe.. But I did stay in there a while longer and Steffi Bond had an excursion to meet the SCIP team. Spoke like a true Queen as the council bowed in awe n honour of the great one. Then she left, and the noise picked up again. Felt more like council once again (=
Then, as the days before, the 65c doom came as rain came. And stayed on. Man.. At least Guitar Club was kind enough to offer food aid to the council room refugees! Txs Yik Ka, so kind of you! Some potatoes and sauce with bread, somehow, delicious. Finally had to leave for music prac at THE EVER AWESOME and WONDERFUL EMMANUEL! Yup, started only about 10 minutes late! Wow, things have really really improved! And Rachael once again had an awesome sharing on one main verse, Colossians 3v23-24. It was like, as Rachael herself would say, "POW!!" abt doing everything with all ur heart as unto the Lord. Aas if the "POW!!" hadn't lnocked u out yet, Michelle's Bible added the "cheerful" aspect of it and we were all blown away....
Okay, not that far away, but it was spectacular. Timing too, cuz we had like a.. 2 hour plus sharing session? Nice way to end a Friday! Kenneth, out!

# The Second of the Two Days
First Day at Work
Today was a good day to start work. Woke up early, walked to school. Went to the staffroom. Had nothing to do. Then had nothing to do. Then sat down with nothing to do. I had taken over Mr. Tong's place in the staffroom now. Will get some pics soon, but nothing much to see. Maybe the classes I teach will be more fun to see eh? Also some fun stuff at Mr.Tong's unused table would be cool too! Sometime soon lar, Monday classes start. Today was the get paid to do nothing day. Ok, I had a lecture to attend. Intro to GP. In a few words : GP=A levels NOT O levels. The rest "your tutors will explain to you in class". Yup. Thats supposed to be me who's taking the IT whiz Mr Peck's job of 04, 06 and 21 of 07. But after the lecture, the "work" began as the Biology Department decended upon us from above (upper level 3 staffroom) with a mutitude of "Chromosome" with Kuah Mei Ru leading the way. So all the stuff you see here were sliced n spliced by me, Eugene (or "Mr. Eugene") and Jocelyn, both from Chem Department. It was an ardous affair, but the chromosomes stood no chance against us and of course a Ms Fernandez-Teletubby Intervention and later Abduction.. shhh...!
This was done at Mr Eugene's (see below) desk, a Y5 whos like, so smart, going to Uni of London. Shaun n Poh Lynn, maybe u'd see him there someday?
Yup. this was what we did for the next few hours. I think. And Denise came by n we all had fun, then we left. Later, I finally got this laptop im now using after going to Mr Daniel Chung, Mr Peck, Mr Loh and a wonderfully helpful TA (Technical Aassistant) Ian. Yay! txs for the help!
I should have gone home, but it rained. So i stayed in the council room. Did some reading. Went over to makan to "celebrate" Aaron's Bday. Happy BDAY dude, eat more ya? But not the cat lar of course. Then came back to school. Waited but got fed up, borrowed an umbrella n took 12 back, a whole 65c spent on a 300m trip... Still got drenched, but happy to have connectivity in my room. Yay!

# Two Days in Tee Jay
10 January 2007, Fun
Headed down to MOM after being disappointed the previous day. At least I know 12 was a direct bus there. just needed to stop at Clarke Quay and walk over a pedestrian crossing. Not just any one, it was this one, in the "CENTRE" of Singapore... a not so clean city after all..
Just to notice the netting in the drain, too bad i didn't have a better digicam. It was quite filthy. Not too nice a sight from the pedestrian bridge. But anyway, I reached MOM
Anyways, I got in, had my bag scanned with a metal detector, took my F-Ticket, went upstairs n got it done in 30 minutes tops. Sorry to those who waited 3 hours or so. Then I was on the way back to the bus station when I saw these bunch of ppl. Yup, no idea what school, but they were attempting to do pullups from a tree... Wait, it was a girl attempting pull ups from a tree..
The OGLs, red i presume, look "absolutely thrilled".. wow..
Then I was on the bus with these two mats who insisted that the bus be fitted with their audio system via his handphone on loud speaker mode. And he happened to travel further than me although I was already paying the hefty $1.28 to get back to TJ for my meeting! Yup. Had a nice first GP Department meeting in Temasek Lounge. Met the other tutors n RTs as we are now called. Then it was PDP exhibition. And I once again crashed the Council ppl at their SCIP booth. And to those Malaysians who dun really get the picture when I said Pinafore-with-no-blouse-uniform, here it is in its 1.3 mega-pixel glory in front of the SCIP booth

Then there were the Tee Jay dri-fits on sale once again. Widely popular, with all the M sizes sold out. Poor thing... But these were the ppl manning the booth. Of course there were jokers with loudhailers trying to promote it, but scared ppl off as well. Pics of them not included for their own safety.
Then as all councillors do, they had to have their mass dance. And so they did. On the stage and even got some ppl to dance along with them. Not bad with the new FunDance! (=
In the middle is my junior! Not bad eh? Plus the loudspeaker is there too, proof of their advertising spree!

# A Blog? Suprise, Its my blog!!
Suprise of 2007, I start blogging
Its been 4 days since I've survived in Singapore almost on my own. Its been a totally new experience.Young Adult, so old actually.. turning 20 this year summore.. man! Ok, not a man yet, but still Im 3 years older than those Im gonna teach. Wow, ok, I give up, Im old.
Suprise of 6th january 2007
Arriving at 2.30 in Singapore, i experience my first major traffic jam. Got off at Jalan Sultan and waited for the uncle whose house im in now to fetch me. I waited at the taxi stand as aunty told me to but after 30 minutes, i found out it was the wrong one. Down the street, "The Taxi Stand". Got onto the car, and off to aunty's work place. I got lunch from kind aunty and then came "home". A room the size of Dunman's two man room for me, complete with aircon, table, wardrobe and bed (with pillows, bolsters n blankets). Then I decide to crash O-nite. Instead of being the only crazy J3 to be there, i meet other 29ners and even classmates.. ahah, the N2ness of the 05 batch!! Oh, and even got one J4, but then the J3's themselves can make a full CG I think. The Onite started late, but went mostly smoothly, video was awesome, but performances could have been much better. Shaving one was a bore, but the tarzan n jane n james was really spot on for the clan,theme n all. Orexus' Stomp-like thing was good, and the other clan that tried couldn't match up. A bit imba also lar the Orexus one... very pro.. Then came pageant. Theycan't sing unless they are DSA Choir or something. Couldn't see their faces, but hats off to Neritta who kissed Mr Tong! (the discipline master) Then came the rock concert, the usual except for the newly inroduced body surfing by the house caps. TJ's o nite is getting cooler every year man..! Then came mass dance. The moment many J3s were waiting for. Except they started with the FunDance of the 30th, so we became the juniors n followed the J1s n 2s. Then came the others which i have embarrassingly forgotten some steps.. n no heartsdales.. man... the most cool one is out, but oh well, its been a while, 27th to 30th. Then came the clean up, which was suprisingly fast considering all the newater on the floor which gave Ms N nightmares. But all in all a great night until Cheryl "lost" the council room aircon remote in her locker, but all ended well with someone finding it in her locker. too bad they didn't try breaking open the air con first, would have been cool! Walked home,bathed n slept.
Suprise of 7th January 2007
Going to church was so easy this time, could jz walk in. Yay, was so nice to be with cell n all. James, Gabriel, FX, Bing Sheng, Mei Yian n Matthew, only Jeremy, Su-E and Philip missing. But church had its own suprise with Pastor Hoo n family leaving Emmanuel in Feb. Must be a very sad thing for most Emmanuelites. I've only known pastor Hoo for 2 years, but he's been serving longer than Ive been living,... thats like.. wow. Then the sermon was also the shock of 07,Move Over Pastor, We're Moving Up! Certainly a new direction for the church with us starting to grow up n handle stuff on our own. Most impactful thing was when Pastor Ang told us how we should judge our leaders, by how well they've prepared us to live our lives. Whether we will survive, and do more than that on our own or have we not grown to maturity after all these years. Cell was good, catching up with everyone. FX had a wonderful Europe get away and now an interesting Oakley job.N maybe a colleague who's trying to hit on her..haha! Matthew is working too! In Orchard summore, so cool! BS going to NS this thurs.Mei Yian. y u so lazy to walk to school to clean ur locker ah? U live so so near leehhh... So nice! Gabriel is in Bible school i think and James is in his final semester already but might get a job offer. Hope you do get it man! Then we went forlunch at cartel to treat BS who's going off. We ate asmuch bread as main courses i think. And BIGGEST suprise of 7th January 2007. When I wanted to deposit my money in the atm machine, it didn't accept the 1000 dollar note, so i wanted to go into POSB to change it. Then i tugged, i repeat, i tugged on the door handle AND THE ALARM WENT OFF!!! Two days into Singapore and I set off a bank alarm.. Gab and I were like, Oh My... FX and Bert were stunned and ppl were staring... BAD, EMBARRASSING N BAD!! But after a while, we realized ppl didn't care that the bank alarm was off n they continued with their daily chores n withdrew money like normal... N we walked off to VJ to get FX stuff out of her locker as BS climbed into VJ. Really easy to do that I realised. Then it was off to Stacey's.We're still walking cuz adult fares kill! Stacey is good at tennis,and so are her friends. Joyce could maybe kill ppl with her tennis while others were all... talking about NS? yup, stayed there quite a while n left. Now I know where Stacey stays. ^-^
Suprise of 8th January 2007
Mr Ganesha from MOE, nice guy, really, but he had to take off when the paper MOE gave us strictly said 9 to 1 pm for appointments. So I rotted in school for a few hours in SC room.Man that place is heaven in TJ. Ask nick who only brought materials for a brithday card n got everything he needed. Then there were the councillors, being the typical "after-orientation-student" and I shan't elaborate on it any further. Got some of the latest intra SC news as well. Interesting affairs I must say 30th! And the council room looked a little more like ours ofter the O, but oh well, 29th had it the best i think. Man,when u get two top ladies, the room is like.. so diff! But kudos to Steffi Bond n Ying Lin and the rest of the EXCO, HC n SC, Bond 07 made TJ proud! Ok, now im off to Bedok MRT to meet Mr Ganesha to hand in stuff at 2pm.. Reach MOE after paying 1.50 for the MRT ride.. I MISS THE 55c rate!!!!! And sit down,read 2004 TJ Yearbook. Cool! Got other JCs one there but why bother? TJ's the best! Yay for myself! Yup, hand in the stuff and took a long 196 to Parkway. Wanted to deposit the 1000, and hopefully i dun get arrested cuz there was a CCTV unit outside the door i triggered the ALARM!! Waited in line patiently and when it came my turn, i realised iw as so hopeless.. I didn't have my passbook = no acc no. No ATM card which I jz realised i lost when i left it at the previous atm out of shock. Hope m,y account hasn't been hacked cuz i left the atm running... OK i am freaking scared of that now... CRAP... Anyway, got more shopping done n headed home to sleep
Suprise of 9th January 2007
Mainly, I got my letter of confirmation of scholar's identity from Mr Ganesha. Yay, he asked me to go to MOM, so I did by MRT. I reached there at 4.00 pm, EXACTLY the time they stop issuing F-tickets.. what a name for getting a work permit,F-Tickets.... the working world must be quite bad... So yeah, once again I couldn't get my job finished thank God there was 12 there so i took it to opposite TJ,had lunch/dinner, saw Caroline n Chuan Li, ate and walked home. Then i decided im gonna try to start blogging and this is the result. Yup. Gonna try to do laundry for the first time tonight. Wish me luck. And welcome to my journey, Entry # 1
