# First Friday @ Work
Another TJcian Day, 12 January 2007
Morning came, and for TJ, so did I. Second day seemed like any other. Did not hear the bell ring (but Jocelyn did) and almost missed assembly. I blinked to the assembly ground while the other RTs waited for me outside the door. So thoughtful of them but they didn't expect my super lightning speed and I already arrived at the assembly area while they were still waiting for me. Too bad it wasn't put to good use as the clouds leaked and TJCians flowed out of the assembly area. Then the RTs signed in, except me who still didn't exist in the staff records and we headed for breakfast. Aa very long breakfast at that with an econs summit taking place on my left while, conversations were sung by various artists on my right from various albums. I had my Ham n Cheese although i thought it was rather racist that the buns were burnt-coloured. Not fair, but still tasted good so Im cool. Then I headed back to my (or Mr Tong's) desk and soon Jonathan informed me of an impromptu meeting with Ms Ng who gave us a lesson in the finer arts of class teaching and a lense adjustment so we were focused in the right direction for monday's lessons. Then I went back to my seat, which has a "freezing plate" (like the one they teach in food chem, except this freezes my butt not fish fingers or other foodstuff) on it. Lemme give u a better view of a thousand words...
And let me give u a better picture of where I am at my place of work. On my right is my Malay teacher Cikgu Elina whose class I will enter to motivate them to study Malay. And if there like really N2 and all, Cikgu hopes to get them to take up Sastera Melayu, cool eh? And in front of me is Cikgu Azyanti who's another Malay teacher. So the population of Malay speaking teachers is like a 1m radius about me! Then beside me is the as Mr Chung put it "petite" Siok Khoon although were separated by the great wall of the non-working cockpit pc! Then behind me is a teacher. I'll leave it at that. Oh he's a guy too.. but beyond that, I dunno. Never said hi to me, but neither have I so we're even i guess. Time for another thousand words! Yay!
And also, Mr. Tong's special place comes complete with the GP Department Library! Cool eh?
Yups. Thats a little on the landscape of the new planet I reside in. My getaway island will be featured soon. Jz take a good guess where that might be lar k? There is a hint in this post btw
Anyways, after school, I go to scroom to do my research cuz i couldn't tahan being in the staffroom any longer, was so falling asleep! So got in there n SCIP meeting was going on. If any SC interns read this, know that ur seniors are really excited and N2 abt this project. In what way? For you to find out. Join SCIP! Oh wait, booth close already.. Hehe.. But I did stay in there a while longer and Steffi Bond had an excursion to meet the SCIP team. Spoke like a true Queen as the council bowed in awe n honour of the great one. Then she left, and the noise picked up again. Felt more like council once again (=
Then, as the days before, the 65c doom came as rain came. And stayed on. Man.. At least Guitar Club was kind enough to offer food aid to the council room refugees! Txs Yik Ka, so kind of you! Some potatoes and sauce with bread, somehow, delicious. Finally had to leave for music prac at THE EVER AWESOME and WONDERFUL EMMANUEL! Yup, started only about 10 minutes late! Wow, things have really really improved! And Rachael once again had an awesome sharing on one main verse, Colossians 3v23-24. It was like, as Rachael herself would say, "POW!!" abt doing everything with all ur heart as unto the Lord. Aas if the "POW!!" hadn't lnocked u out yet, Michelle's Bible added the "cheerful" aspect of it and we were all blown away....
Okay, not that far away, but it was spectacular. Timing too, cuz we had like a.. 2 hour plus sharing session? Nice way to end a Friday! Kenneth, out!
