# Day 270

Yup, today has been a long day, and it's going to get even longer :) But at least Jesus is with me. So for today,and for all that's on my mind, here's the verse.

³¹ Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. “You have so little faith,” Jesus said. “Why did you doubt me?”

When Peter failed, it wasn't because He doubted himself. It was Jesus whom He doubted. And for me, when i don't think I can do it, it's not I myself that I'm doubting, but God who has already made awesome promises for me that I will succeed.

# Day 266

Today's reading is about the Process, Price and Parting from the parables in Matthew 13.

The kingdom of God is played out in processes. Rarely do you get instant answers, but the answers come in forms of seed. And that takes time to grow.

Then came two short parables in between about the price of the kingdom, which was, well, ironically, priceless that you give up everything for it.

And lastly came the part about the parting, the good from the bad. Notice that this only comes at the end. The reason for the process is not so that we end up on God's side of the parting. But God is interested in individuals and their development to be more like Him. The end prize is that we get to be with Him. And the thing that ties the beginning to the end is how much we value the Kingdom of God.

Yesterday's reading also had a point about how the kingdom of God is like a treasure hidden in a field. We don't always see the worth in the kingdom, because it is usually hidden. Two questions can be asked.

1) How did he know to look for treasure in "that" field? Answer - he didn't. He just discovered it, but obviously he must have been looking for it. He must have been either wondering around the field, or trying to develop the field, basically spending time on the field. And to many of us, we miss how valuable the kingdom of God is because we only look for God in the field called "church". We never discover the many treasures that God's kingdom reign in our lives in the other aspects of daily life. When we're in the field of our own rooms, or travelling to school, or meeting up with friends. Do we discover the purpose for God's kingdom in those stuff, and while in that field, let nothing else hold us back but live to gain God's kingdom in that field.

2) What covered the treasure? Other people owned the field, this guy discovered it and had to buy it. That's pretty much the main thing we need to ask ourselves, what's hiding the treasure of God's Kingdom that we don't see the value in it?

# Day 263

Today's reading was rather fast. It's just a simple secret to good QT.

¹² To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them.

Greek words once again, the word in the original is echo. To those who "have" or "echo". It's not like Jesus is making the rich richer and the poor poorer. But echo is to those who hold fast, or those that let the teachings take possession of their mind, like an alarm, that sets off thinking and right living in their head, more such revelation and guidance will be given.

Yup, so that's the whole thing about the parable of the sower :) series continues!

# Day 262

God is good and true. Prayed and asked Him to help me wake up this morning, and I did manage to get myself out of bed at 7.30am on a sunday morning :)

And I believe that a lot of the disconnect was from not having a good QT. And so I also prayed that I will have a good QT and so it was today :)

Today is about the parable of the sower. The parable that has been talked about so many times before and yet the Holy Spirit taught me something new.

The word that fell by the roadside represented those who didn't understand or in Greek, suniēmi, and so the word was stolen away by the evil one. The Greek indicates the understanding as to put together in perception, comprehension. Usually people think that it's only about how the evil one has blinded people, but the evil one hasn't entered the picture yet. The point is the word of the kingdom. The kingdom talks about the dominion, rule or authority, and specifically, of Christ's kingdom.

The people who are not able to put it together in their minds, who cannot accept the rule of God in their lives, or some area of their lives, the evil one then comes and takes it away.

The next word is the stony-placed word. It talks about how the person has no root. The person does receive it truly and sincerely. But that's because he receives it on a straightforward level. He doesn't build his life upon that word. He doesn't allow the Word to be the anchor of his life. It is like carrying a seed around and not planting it in the ground. Then he falls away, and the Greek talks about being enticed to sin. Because he is not rooted, then he strays off the path and "falls away".

Yup application and prayer time. GTG!

# Day 256 A New Day

Today, I learnt that the Holy Spirit is my comforter. I may not be fully recovered, but I'll get there. Song that came to mind, Holy Spirit Rain Down and It's A New Day.

Today is moving to Jurong Day.

Yup, gonna need God to be with me :)

# The Dailiness of God

Today's reading is summed up in the words dailiness of relationship.

We cannot serve two masters. Studies and God, "church" and God, Money and God. Above all, Self and God.

And this happens each day as we make decisions. Two verses that spoke out.

Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. Apparently that must be our daily prayer. The active pursuit of living holy lives, which basically means serving God.

And how God cares for us each day. If the flowers can go beautifully, and is gone tomorrow, surely God cares for me today. And God holds my tomorrow. Don't worry about it :)

# A Day I Decided To Blog #1

Just felt like chronicling this day so here goes.

Woke up in the morning and went to TJ. Visited a few of the teachers, Mrs Tag, Mrs Noordin, Ms Faye Tan, Ms Norsheha, Mdm Aini and Mrs Lim (and co.). Randomly bumped into Miss Lau at the canteen but didn't have much time to chat. Missed almost all of my class teachers! Dunno where were they hiding!

Then after that went to school and was the latest for my lesson! Haha!

Went to meet Prof Shah after that. Was 5 minutes early but went in anyway. Mark was late, I hope he's not like in some emo depressed mood over FYP. Cuz i'm like really excited over the FYP, regardless of the scope I end up with. Noticed the Aircraft Design books in Prof Shah's room, and apparently the author of that guidebook actually came and gave the talk in NUS many years back! WOW! Not that any of you know what I'm talking about.

Then we went to the NUS-HDB wind tunnel! Finally a atmospheric boundary layer simulation wind tunnel! It's rather old and looks it's age, but it has a slight nostalgic feel. Maybe nostalgic is not the word, but the previous year's FYP building model was in the wind tunnel test section and I couldn't help but feel for her and her hard work that she put into her dissertation.

Stanley was there too. He's the guy from Civil Eng that runs the wind tunnel. He's really nice and I think it's gonna be great working with him and Mark. I also have to manufacture my own models cuz prof wants to try out more model scales to get a better plot on the graph that Shi Yun worked on.

Then after that went to meet Chee Kern and Shums at Science. Ate my favourite "spicy" from the panggang stall. Then went to Ah Ma's (a.k.a Hui Shian's) Geyao welcome tea. Pretty interesting stuff though I didn't understand 90% of what was being said/sung. Shums was my summary interpreter. The people there are really really talented. They do what they do well. A very different experience from being in the music team in church and our sound EQ. Very different. I've been exposed to music-team style music for too long!

Then after that had my favourite bus ride back to the east. Lie To Me S1E9 was not too bad. I think E8 was scarier though. Anyway. Here I am, about to bathe and call it a night. Soccer tmr, but can't be too fierce, right hamstring giving problems.
