# An(other) update
It's me again. Who else ryte?
Malaysia was fun. Spent a whole lot of my time on the operation Meta promo. It's my 3 minute cartoon!! Whee~~~! Any comments for those who have seen it? But let's get back to what i did in Malaysia. Well, apart from the obvious promo, I got my sis to play Risk STAR WARS edition with me. Sadly, she kicked my butt across the galaxy. Then i tried to redeem myself with Monopoly SPIDERMAN edition. And sadly, the Green Goblin defeated Spiderman (me) and dominated the city in which Spiderman lives. Sad.. and to end it off.. Instead of being sympathetic, Daphne couldn't really be bothered. Haha! But oh well, my blue army kicked the Jedi's forces butt the next day! Haha, but the score is still 2-1. So yeah, still on the losing side. But nevermind, the empire will strike back... (in december perhaps)
Apart from that, I also got some shopping done. Two more pants. Now I have 5. Man.. that's quite a lot. But one of my pants is about 5 years old. Hehe. And ate a Secret Recipe lunch with mom and my sis. Dunno how the bill came to RM95 though. Saded...
Oh well, fast forward to Singapore, great to be back, just that my toothbrush didn't think so, as it decided to stay in Malaysia. Had to buy a new one, studied a bit at R3 TV Room, learnt some interesting psychology, realised that my sunfire goes crazy when a = 99/100. No idea why it gave a 12 digit answer... weird!! Sorry to scare Kia Boon, and txs for the solution of %lf.
Fast forward to today, met a lot of my ex-students. Some were happy, some afraid they can't promote, and some... hmmm.. just didn't want to talk about it. The J2s on the other hand were not too bad, not afraid of As, as they were mugging their butts off. Nice chatting with Claire, Steph and Reb. Also chatted with Aaron, Guo Ping, Natha. The J1s, the pig, Jaren, Ferena, Zhiyuan, and many more.
Ok, then now im here, in the youthroom, waiting for Music meeting to start. Bobby awaits. God help me!Labels: Aaron, Claire, Daphne, Ferena, Guo Ping, Jaren, Kia Boon, Malaysia, Metamorphosis, Monopoly, Natha, Rebecca, Risk, Secret Recipe, Shuming, Stephanie, Zhiyuan

# An Update
Heys! U're nineteen already! Hope u managed to stay awake the whole day! And if you read my blog early enough, you would know that Huiks has planned a little surprise for u with ur section after band today! Have a blessed 19th! Txs for the biz tour once again!
And what's up with the rest of the world? I know Zsa had a change, Caiyu is on holidays, a pig was locked out of her room, prelims would have ended for most of the J2s, and promos are starting in 5 days. Yumei has had her ballet test? Not very sure what else has been going on, but hope to be updated frequently (= (although im guilty of not updating my blog)
What's been up with me? I had a statics (EG1109) test on saturday, which was not too nice... Didn't know how to do the first question. Second was MUCH better! More marks, yet easier. Yay for that, but how to describe a 3-force member.. I had no idea. If I could have things my way and it was ungraded, I would say a 3-force member would be a person who is a part of a force by the name of 3. Haha.. too bad it was a graded test.
Moving along, this week I had my first Computing Lab. What do you do in a CS Lab? You write programmes. I balloted for even week (which comes after odd week) and I got it.. sadly. Odd week's algorithm was given to them,as in, they knew how they were to calculate their result. but for us (the even week lab), we had to use the entire result of the first week, modify it, and figure out our own (o o o haha) algorithm! Cutting a very long, frustrating and stressful story short, the final product was called day1.c and day2.c. Both these programmes are less than 0.1 MB yet, it took me about 4 hours of coding it!! (no0b programmer =)
What does day1.c do? If you key in a date in DDMMYYYY format, it will tell you what day (Mon, Tues etc) it was/is/will be. Cool eh? but day2.c takes it a step further. Let's say u want to know the date of the 2nd Sunday of March in 1989. U will simply have to key it in, and my programme will tell you the date! Cool eh? okay, i used "cool eh" already. Need better vocab! So yes, if any of you want to try out my programme, drop me a line! Hehe
Next, what happened? I don't know, THursday is still onlt 11 hours and 34 minutes old. After a delicious Tuna Cracker breakfast, and QT of course, Im here blogging. Break week is coming up, and I shall go back. Anyone free on Friday next week? Feel like crashing TJ! So if anyone is free, drop me another line? Most likely a lunch or something like that. YUP!
Ok, life in uni. For those who want to come to NUS, here's a quick reality check for how it will be like. Engineering is slack. Yes, it is. Medicine/Pharmacy/Dentistry/Nursing is not, but Engin is. Business is not that slack, arts is also slack. If you want to go to arts, u MUST be able to do readings. And, from there, be able to generate ideas from REAL LIFE examples/happenings. Engin? You need to love maths. Let's see..
EG1109-maths + physics
MA1505 -duh..more maths
PC1413-maths (integration particularly) + physics
CS1101C-maths + programming + creative logic
So yeah, don't come engin if you don't like maths in JC, and the pace of learning in uni is super accelerated. You learn new theorems and have to do the tutorial within the week itself, and next week, it's on to something new! So yeah, it's slack in engin, yet fast paced. So don't slack. Haha.. of course, if you are hardworking (unlike the me now) you will have great fun joining the CCAs and whatever not. Oh, one more thing, NUS is built on a hill (all implications apply)
It's time for lunch, but im lazy to go off and eat. So yeah, i'll just think of something to do, before leaving this place for tuition. Lalala... Bye ppl. Break week coming, Malaysia is coming! Hope i have a fun time both in Malaysia and Sg. TJ crash anyone?Labels: computing, EG1109, maths, NUS, TJ, XiuYu

# An Update
Rare no? An update on my blog.
It's after YA service which once again was great. First time in a long time i got to be in the congregation and praise and worship. That didn't quite help my sorethroat, but oh well, it's worth it. Does this count as a sacrifice of praise or being a bad steward of my body? Oh, and I don't think anyone knows I have a sorethroat either. Why? Cuz I don't tell people.
Yup, that's my problem, I love talking, except about things that matter to me. Why? And perhaps that's why I can feel distant whilst spending time with people I care for. And I think that's why some people think I'm very serious, cuz i rarely talk about normal everyday stuff in my life. And yup, I know some people think I have no life either, but I'm fine with that. But I always remember opinions of people who don't matter, don't matter.
But I guess what Roland said was very true (thank God for godly wisdom from church leaders). Interpersonal skills is not easy and requires lots of prayer. Yeah, right now, I realise that apart from changing my selfish attitude towards relating with people (thanks goes out to Joshua Harris and Doris) I have to also learn to trust and believe in a God that wants to be my closest friend. Just wish that God, You would speak back like how a (human) friend could. Maybe You have, and that's called Cell Mates. But they're busy people too, or so I make excuses for myself for not first giving in relationships.
Ok, moving along, what has happened this week? I watched Ratatouille, and it's awesome, inspiring, not cliched and funny. Anyone can cook. Haha, love the animation, but dun like the "drawn" rats at the ending credits. And the world is full of TKGians!! Yup, watched movie with Hui Koon and Shujing. And they both know Jocelyn whom I ate dinner with together with Eugene for his farewell (SORRY I FORGOT TO PAY YOU!!). And Jocelyn knows Xiuyu and misses her lots. Oh, and Keow Koon knoww Xiuyu too... And all girls mentioned in this paragraph are from TKGS... Wow!
Next, I had my statics test today. Wouldn't say I screwed it up, but against all my inner knowledge of how to resolve forces, I forgot to check for clockwise and anti-clockwise moments, so my Dx is definitely wrong!... Oh well, i have better hopes for question two. Yup.
Oh just a little shoutout here
James-Congrats on passing ur bar test and may the politics not be with you
Matthew-Where r u?
Alex-All the best for 'A's!
Hui Koon-Yay for your perception change of rats. Hope ur wounds heal well (i think u know what i mean)
Shujing-Don't quite know what you're going through, but praying that God'll help you to sort things out. I'll help in publicity (=. No photoshop though. GO META07!!
Chellie-(random) U could pass to be the same age as ur cell members and you got a wise husband!
Gabriel-Don't stress too much? Way easier said than done
Alvin-I'm an honourary member? Yay!
Fang Xian-Wah, haven't spoken to you in quite a long time? Supposed to tell you a few things already
MeiYian-So hard to meet you!! We've prayed that you'll be ok. See an ok u tmr!
TJCians-All the best for prelims and promos (soon)
A11s-All the best for results of EG1109 Test
Happy Birthday Rachael!!!Labels: Chellie, Doris, Gabriel, Hui Koon, James, JoJo, Joshua Harris, Keow Koon, Matthew, Ratatouille, Relationships, XiuYu

# I said it 101 times
Ok, I haven't blogged in ages. So I shall break the trend for now. Let's just list the thoughts going through my head.

02) EG 1109 is hard
03) I think my class rocks (=
04) NUS isn't that big after all
05) My life is very busy
06) I need to prioritize
07) I miss YA, and talking to my cell members
08) Songs I currently like - God of Miracles, All Who Are Thirsty
09) Albums I want to have on my wife - Kutless, God He Reigns, To The Ends of The Earth, King of Majesty, Never Stop, Always and Forever, Arise, Unveiled
10) It is possible to travel from church to PGP in bus 10 in under an hour
11) Physics is getting harder
12) Level 4 of EA Block is quite a nice solitude, though it could be cleaner
13) I know too many people?
14) CS 1101 C is getting interesting
15) Sam is in trouble
16) Meeting Shaun was nice (=
17) Teik Kheng.... hmmm... getting interesting
18) Keow Koon can drive.... unfair! haha
19) Qiying looks like Yinwei
20) QT needs to be more consistent
21) VCF is starting to become sian
22) Cell rocks
23) I want to watch Ratatouille, Shujing, Thursday next week ya?
24) I want to jam, for the sake of jamming, not music prac
25) Kaman, Happy Birthday, you've been wished in advance
26) I need to start on my GEM2901 project
27) Studying in church rocks
28) Being in church rocks
29) Aramia looks like Jo-An who is quite pretty
30) I think my timetable sucks because of late lectures
31) I need more "Me" time, like, now kind of time
32) Arts Canteen is overrated
33) Physics should be more interesting
34) My PC tutor needs to be taught how to teach
35) Programming is fun (so far)
36) I have problems remembering names
37) National University of Stairs
38) People are so superficial
39) Muggers are the cause of stress, not studies
40) Being yourself has to have the right motives (random, even I myself can't quite figure this out)
Okay, that's enough of randomness, some things that happened today. Shaun came to visit me at NUS, which i took him on a "guided" tour, to the wrong places. Haha! We ate breakfast at The Deck (which i confused for Central something). Then visited Raffles Hall, sent him off to Faculty of Science to meet Jamie, then got him back at Central Library, bought McFlurry for lunch, actualy Shaun bought two and gave me one.
Yup, meeting Bert to pass him his notes although i know that I didn't bring all, only one chapter.
Im tired of the superficialness of people. Why can't we just be ourselves. We don't have to act mature...
Ending on a happy note, Im very thankful to the UNI-FIED people in YA, having you guys around, although I don't meet u guys, but really, just knowing that you guys are running the race together is a great encouragement. Cell and YA rocks.
Stay UNI-FIED ppl!
Things to do
-design YA camp t-shirt
-watch Ratatouille
-collect Maths notes
-darn, i have to include this.... maths tut 3, mastering physics prac questions and physics tut2
-do QT properly tonight
-some exercise. that's part of being a real man no?
Cheers people, txs for the tags so far! Love you guys, miss the TJ peeps. Year 1s, all the best for promos. Year2s, Try your best, trust in God, believe the lyrics of
"My Future Decided - United"
My 101 time saying it, bye..
